The park is a very interesting place to go to. There is a beach that you have to pay about $3.000 to go to and its not a beach for swimming in. However, the back of the beach is the river mouth that is a beautiful spot and has views of the parts of the city on the other side of the river. The park also has a museum that is the private collection from a travelling Chilean who collected all kinds of animals and trinkets etc from his worldwide travels. We drove to the Museum - there is a fee to drive into the Park. The Museum is an interesting collection of what a world traveler around end of the 19th century might collect from different countries around the world, including your home country. There is no charge for visiting the musuem, backpacks are not allowed in the museum, and they have a nifty way to safely store them while you browse. The gardens are an interesting walk through with many different plant species, and you have some lovely views towards the coast. There was a small food concession near the parking (we did not purchase anything). But... once you finish the museum, head down to the shore, water, sand, and birds. The road down to the beach is gravel, good road for careful drivers. Sit at the beach for awhile - we saw many different species, including the whimbrel, and a large flock of Peruvian pelicans. The hiking paths are along the road to the beach. Beware when parking down by the beach - a friend got their car stuck in the sand, stay on the hard packed road.

Perfect place for an afternoon walk, and great location for the sunset over the pacific.We took a taxi from the city to the Museum, and payed $7000 Pesus. From the museum to the beach is like 3 km, but it's also very easy to get a ride with some of the locals - Everybody is nice a helpfull!

Gran casa patronal construida en 1870 basándose en la arquitectura de la zona Central de Chile, rodeada por un hermoso entorno natural, ubicada a 12 Kilómetros de la Ciudad de Concepción, donde destaca un parque con varios senderos, especies de flora nativa y la desembocadura del Río Biobío en el Océano Pacífico. Es declarada Monumento Nacional el 18 de junio de 1976. El Museo alberga alrededor de seis mil piezas arqueológicas de valor incalculable, procedentes de África, América, Asía y Europa.

La mas común denominada desembocadura, es un lugar aprox a 20 min de la ciudad de Concepción, hay que ir en automóvil, un camino mixto(pavimento y ripio), muy interesante para observar flora y fauna, ir de pesca, pasear simplemente, hasta un museo. Hay que cancelar un mínimo por ingresar. Claramente vale la pena.

O ambiente natural é um pouco seco em geral, depois de uma longa estrada de terra você vem para a foz do rio, onde, exceto a presença de animais selvagens e belas rochas moldadas pela erosão

Es un súper buena panorama ir al parque un fin de semana. Cobran por entrar en auto, pero no mucho. Lamentablemente hay que llegar en vehículo, porque no queda tan cerca y no hay transporte hacia allá. El museo tiene piezas muy antiguas y la casona cuenta con un laberinto afuera. El entorno es genial, habiendo vistas impresionantes al mar.

Sin duda alguna es una de las atracciones más visitadas de la región (museo y desembocadura), sin embargo la última vez que fui, la ruta desde la Avd. Nueva Costanera hasta el acceso al parque se encontraba en lamentables condiciones. Pese a esto el parque presenta un museo variado, con miradores con muy linda vista y un sin fin de otros puntos para pasar una tarde al aire libre tranquila, rodeado de naturaleza y el sonido del mar.

comienza en la universidad de concepcion y es muy largo, no ancho, peo tienes caminerias, aparatos de ejercisios, ciclovia, bancos, fuentes, kioskos de comida y bebidas, restaurantes en los alrededores, pero como todo parque del mundo no es recomendable en horas nocturnas.
