We live in the U.S. This was our first time in Paraguay. We've spent a fair amount of time in South America.....off and on for 20 years or so and been all over. We were pleasantly surprised by Paraguay. Not at all like most of the reviews, a good place to visit now. The Gran Hotel provides free airport pickup, if you let them know your flight. Getting back, there is no free shuttle (OK, this is like Las Vegas.....easy to get in to the place but you have to plan how to get out). The desk is good.....they had a taxi waiting a few minutes before we asked the morning we needed to go back to the airport. It was easy to get taxis when we needed them as well. This is an old, old, grand hotel. The courtyards are charming, as are the grounds. Rooms left a lot to be desired. They have remodeled their bathrooms, so all marble and glass. But the rooms themselves.....lots of shutters at the windows.....air conditioning units took forever to kick in because the rooms have 12 ft. ceilings.....old tile floors......European small (which is OK with us but it is nice to have someplace to open a suitcase.....this was lacking). All rooms opened onto the walkways around the courtyards. The included morning breakfast was pretty minimal.....adequate, but minimal. Because of this we didn't try dinner. We used La Paraguayita a couple of times.....it was a good place but we used a taxi. I would recommend one of the new hotels being built along Espana.

I have beem only for a drink but the place is full of history and the dining rooms are wonderfully frescoed. The gardens are brilliant and full of birds

I come here several times a year for work, and it feels like home. Amazing gardens, colonial house, extremely nice staff, no noise except the birds and the fountain. Also, well situated.

Used quite a bit by traveling business folks. The food isn't bad either.

We made reservations for Valentine's day at the restaurant. The place is very nice, full of history, pictures and beautiful furniture. I can not comment on the food because it was an OK buffet served for that special day.

Great staff, good food, beautiful garden, historical buiding dating back to the 18 hundred, all at a very reasonable price.

Es una empresa especializada en atender reuniones, conferencias, congresos. Tuve el gusto de realizar mi Maestría en Administración de Empresas (MAE) de la Universidad Católica. Siempre teniamos los dormitorios bien ordenados, los refrigerios y las comidas a horario, el ambiente interno y externo para preparar las clases, es de lo mejor!!!. Me gustó la puntualidad, la excelencia del servicio, el ambiente, las comidas y refrigerios muy ricos, Todo excelente!!!

O hotel não é novo, mas é bem conservado. Possui um lindo jardim onde o pessoal costuma tirar fotos, mas os quartos não são tão bonitos assim.Possui vários salões para eventos, piscina e quadra de tênis.O estacionamento é pequeno, mas a localização é privilegiada.Existem vários restaurantes excelentes e tradicionais ao redor, lanchonetes boas, cafeterias, lojas de roupa, postos de gasolina, bancos, colégios, etc.Fica a uns 5 minutos do centro, de carro... e perto do Mercado 4 (tradicional ponto de compras onde você encontra de tudo, tudo mesmo!!).

O hotel é muito bem localizado e como sou amante de Artes e Antiguidades, gostei muito pois é Antigo, tradicional e muito bem conservado (possui história). É bem confortável (bons travesseiros) e um atendimento bastante atencioso. Bons preços.

es un hotel clasico, con una decoracion bastante normal, clasica, el restaurante es bueno, comida internacional, recomendable y buen precio, la verdad es que es que es comodo pero no increible, pero por el precio es ideal para un turista de paso y bueno para salir
