Plaza Bolivar is across from the Museum of the Inquisition and the Museo del Oro, centrally located to many tourist attractions. It is a pretty park with luscious vegetation providing shade during the day and in the evening there are often musicians that perform. I passed one evening and enjoyed a dance troupe that performed Colombian dances. It was fun to watch.

Didn't think much of the Walled City/Old Town in Cartagena apart from this square. Was nice to come down here in the afternoon/early evening and watch street performers rehearsing. Very quiet and attractive, not so many hawkers.Check out our Cartagena blog for more tips:https://ednaventures.wordpress.com/2014/11/05/cartagena-de-indias-fire-mud-tv-in-a-bin-bag/

Nice plaza, in front of the museem of gold. It is a place to see under some trees, specially during the Cartagena's hot days.

Having walked around the old town for quite a while this Plaza was a pleasant spot to have a seat in the shade and take in the atmosphere!

No better place to honor Simon Bolivar but also what the Cartagena heritage is about with church, museums, historic buildings, landscaping, and more..

Nice little plaza with four fountains providing background noise. Very sweet man blowing giant bubbles to benefit poor children - will show you how to do it and sell you one of his homemade bubble makers. Also the place where the dancers put on a nightly show which is really good!
