after leaving the main road between Salinas and Guayaquil, we entered a narrow road that not well maintained and seamed to go on for ever.We reached a wide dead end roan which had a few building that had not been maintained for many years.We parked the vehicle nose in against a wall, and walked over to what turned out to be the place that you pay to enter.So after we had worked out what it cost and what we wanted to pay for we entered the grounds, there were concert paths leading of in different directions which lead to building where you could change.One building had a geothermic pool, the water was hot and cloudy, there are wooden beams that you can hold on to, I was not able to feel the bottom so the beams were needed.After a time in there we got out and walked over to an other building where there is a steam room and rooms where you can get a massage either with mud or allovera .After that you can go outside and bake in the sun, there were plenty of showers to wash off the after the massage.This was a very laid back day for a very minimal cost, when we were there it was almost empty, because we went in the mid week.Go there relax with no sales pressure and enjoy.Bring food and drinks because we found that they do not cater, there are a few street venders outside the placeThe reason for the three stars is the lack of services inside the facility.

Night life during weekends is good, you can go zip lining, mountain biking, see volcanoes, they have some nice cheap yummy restaurants, and free maps of the town!

Spent a Week with friends that took up up to Banos a great vacation town located at about 10,000 feet. Its cool but not cold, the hot baths were the best. We took horses up to the volcano again that was a blast. Went one night up to watch the fire show with swords and everything again was great. I'm looking forward to returning....Shoot I could retire to this location. The family loved it.

We heard a lot about this place, but coming there we were disappointed in a way, as it was one of the last places back home, we saw way better things, There waterfalls, but comparing to for example Niagara Falls, these are water from the tap. Didn't feel the atmosphere and why so many tourists coming here.

I wish we skipped this city. There is very little to do here. They do have ziplining nearby. The buggy rides are not worthwhile. Horses are available. The only neat thing is to see the local priest blessing the cars

Opción de baños termales, piscinas de barro, masajes.Precios muy módicos, pero la infraestrucutura deja mucho que desear y quedan dudas del cuidado sanitario.

Além de ser pouco visitado, a poça de lama vulcânica é feia, as paredes sujas, as duas piscinas ativas com água quente são muito pequenas, não recomendo.

Não sei se era baixa estação, mas estava tudo abandonado, só tinha uma poça de lama horrível e duas piscinas com água muito quente.Tudo sujo e desarrumado.

El lugar no esta muy alejado de Salinas, fuimos en taxi (resulta ser lo más conveniente si arreglas de antemano con el taxista el precio y si compartis el viaje con otras personas), la entrada a los baños es baratisima (2 dolares), masajes 5 dolares... Las instalaciones parecen abandonadas, ya que se trata de un predio muy grande pero con poca infraestructura. La pileta de lodo termal es muy impresionante, es como si pisaras arena movediza, sentis que te vas hundiendo en el fango. Dicen que es muy bueno como tratamiento de belleza, agarrás el barro y te lo pasas por todo el cuerpo, como haciendote una mascarilla, luego lo dejas secar unos minutos, enjuagas con el agua de esa misma pileta, y finalmente pasas al sector de duchas. Por último hay dos piscinas con aguas termales a gran temperatura, pasas por cada una aproximadamente 30 minutos y terminas el recorrido con un masaje. Yo fui en plena temporada y practicamente no habia gente, durante todo el circuito eramos 8 personas. No esperen una instalación de lujo, todo es muy simple y rudimentario, inclusive la ubicación no es buena, se trata de una zona de ruta, muy desolada, pero esta bueno para salir de la monotonia y quien te dice quizas es verdad que hace un impacto en la belleza de la piel.

Alguien nos habló del lugar, me pareció interesante, la publicidad en la carretera es enorme, pero me engañó. Llegué al lugar y estaba sucio, hasta la piscina tenía restos de comida y las facilidades huelen mal... salimos pidiendo devolución del dinero de la entrada y nos fuimos a la playa mejor.
