The street with the different colored stores and doors, are lovely to view from the distance as well as walking down the street. However, the shops themselves have similar trinkets, jewelery, and other money wasting souvenirs that are available just about everywhere else in the city of Loja or anywhere else in Ecuador. As much as I love shopping, I was bored by the second store.

Immediately behind Plaza San Sebastion ( where there is a clocktower in the square in front of San Sebastion Church ) is Calle Lourdes. A narrow cobblestone antique alleyway between Simon Bolivar & Mariscal Sucre preserves the historic charm of Loja. Picturesque with many restored colourful shops, cafes, and artesanal galleries.
