We found this tour operator in the building right outside the tender. We went to a pearl farm in Taaha and then went up the Faahora River. We stopped at a vanilla plantation and the guide took us on a tour. We then went to a motu and had a delicious lunch. Some people stayed to snorkel and some people went to visit the most sacred marae . it was an awesome day at a very reasonable price with guides who really cared about us!!!

We did the kayak tour on the river with Vivien. He drove us by van to the mouth of the river where we picked up the kayaks, gave us some basic instruction, and then led us up the river for a very enjoyable trip. He was a very interesting and helpful guide, pointing out various types of vegetation, etc. and giving us information on the lifestyle in Raiatea. We are not experienced kayakers (although we have done it a few times before), but the trip was still easily manageable for us, and Vivien was very helpful when we found ourselves somewhat stuck once in a narrow section of the river. I was somewhat concerned that there would be mosquitoes with all the vegetation we went through, but that wasn't a problem at all. I would definitely recommend this tour as it was a very peaceful enjoyable experience.

Very good island after the disappointment of Bora Bora. Good cruise ship destination with good tours available on the quayside. We took a trip in what was laughingly called a coach, it was actually a truck with seats inside a multi coloured add-on. You will know them when you see them. The trip had a great guide who was very knowledgable about the Polynesian people's and their heritage, and a justifiably proud man who wanted freedom from the French. We saw all the holy sites of interest rather than the usual stops at the local junk shops. The guide also brought a type of ukulele and entertained us all with some local songs.

We chartered a yacht from the Moorings in Uturoa. The boat was in excellent condition, the staff friendly and most helpful and the sailing conditions perfect.

There was a bunch of stuff to do when our cruise ship pulled into the bay at Raiatea. Like the rest of the ports in French Polynesia you get the feeling of a small sleepy resort town. This was not the case when we rented wave runners for the day. Normally you have enough time to get in two excursions before you have to be back at port to catch the tender back to the cruise ship. Today we spent the whole time getting a little crazy, very wet, and exploring the coast line on wave runners. The tour takes you to several motu's of some historic significance or another, in the middle they feed and water you, then back onto the wave runners for more fun. You are encourages to splash and have a good time, as long as you don't wreck your craft. There is time to swim, take pictures and generally relax. This was one of the best days of our cruise, I only wish I had purchased more water-proof disposable cameras.

Visite très instructive d'une ferme perlière , d'une vanilleraie traditionnelle puis snorkeling dans une passe avec un jardin de corail exceptionnel. Le repas est gargantuesque avec découverte des produits locaux. Julier et Arii nous expliquent certains dangers tels que les cônes ou les poissons pierre en nous les montrant de visu. La bonne humeur est toujours présente dans ce beau bateau. Nos deux guides sont très attentifs et prévenants. coût très abordable en rapport qualité prix => 9000 fp par personne tout compris !

Vivien nous a bien fait partager ses connaissances de la faune et de la vie locale lors de cette balade en kayak pour remonter la rivière Fa'aroa. J'ai été un peu déçu par la vue intérieur de l'île mais l'ambiance "traverse de la jungle" est sympa. Le matériel et les explications techniques sont très basiques mais suffisants pour la demi-journée et le type de navigation (rivière avec très peu été courant et peu de vent donc pas de difficulté). Un peu cher.

Ballade hyper sympa avec vivien qui commence a vous expliquer plein de choses sur raiatea et les iles du triangle...nouvelle zelande wallis etc.... puis nous apprend qq mots tahitiens, coutumes encore d'usage puis depart dans les canoes pour une super ballade de la riviere dans les 2 sens... malgre la pluie au depart et au retour avec un peu de vent, c etait vraiment une belle experience...Vivien est super sympa, gwen egalement.Franchement a faire ......Agnes, DIdier, Karine, Jerome, Quantin

Une journée fort agréable accompagné de VIVIEN notre guide de la journée.Remonté de la rivière en kayak avec beaucoup d explications sur la botanique et sur le vocabulaire polynésien.Puis déj au bord de l eau à proximité des marae. Suivi du tour de l'île en voiture.VIVIEN nous a fait profité de ses connaissances sur son île et l histoire de Raiatea.Nous avons eu la chance d observer les dauphins qui chassaient et vu des cascades magnifiques.
