I have so many of Melanie's wrt works that I pray I don't fall in love with more as the wall space is gone.She looks at the islands with artist's eyes. You have seen the same things, but voila! Melanie has translated the view into something magnificent. She captures the spirit and the love of the islands. Don't go if you have no will power! Lol

Amazing artwork that opens a window into the daily lives, sights and colors of this wonderful corner of the world. The only problem: hard to choose amongst all these wonderful paintings, I wished I had a lot more wall space. Hoping to return soon to see the latest paintings that Melanie brings to life.

go visit melanie shook dupré's studio/gallery in maeva, she's a very talented artist, very prolific. she paints polynesian people and landscapes, scenes of every day life on the island. she's a very pleasant and interesting person and her house and little gallery are cute, a" must see" when you come to huahine

Si il y a un endroit à visiter à Huahine c'est bien la galerie "Umatatea" de Mélanie artiste peintre de renom, vous ressentirez à travers ses œuvres toute sa passion pour la Polynésie, des toiles toutes aussi belles les unes que les autres, ses dessins entre autres portraits tellement expressifs ne vous laisseront pas indifférents...! elle saura vous charmer par son art et son amour pour Huahine ! c'est un endroit magique et authentique surtout ne rater pas cette visite du bout du monde !
