A nice place to ski, great if your from Ontario. Easy to get to, an hour out of Montreal, this place had a lot of lifts, a lot of runs, nice patio to eat on, places to have a drink over looking the hill. All ski levels were accommodated, and I love the ticket/lift operating system. 4 hour block of time for skiing was a very good price. We were lucky to have plus degrees temperature, and sun, no ice !Being a "sort of" march break time, there were virtually no line ups.

We were skiing at St. Sauveur several times, but just happened to try the night skiing. I am a relative beginner ( green slopes) so i was a bit apprehensive, but the slope are so well lighted so i could actually see better than during the day. And at $19 as of 19:00 in Saturdays it is just an awesome deal! The chairlif is also good for beginners: it slows down and you have no problems getting off.The next day i took a lesson and it was amazing. Jean Michelle was my instructor and he was the most pedagogical and sensitive to my needs and fears. I enjoyed my lesson a lot and learned some new skills too. Thank you! The après ski place was great with the hot wine and snacks. Definitely will be back.

Some thirty years ago, we visited St Sauveur des Monts for the first time and felt in love with the village and the region.A few years ago, we bought a chalet in the region and we're delighted we did. I can't have a weekend and summer vacations with visiting the region.Local people are very friendly and we feel we belong to the region. There is so much to do, to visit. Our grand children love skiing there. There are also some fantastic restaurants (avoid the tourist traps). Great concerts in the summer or in the local church.Very good shopping and grocery is, believe it or not, cheaper than Montreal and other large Canadian cities.Only one regret, St Sauveur need a weekly market, similar to Val David.

Great place to go. I went with 3 friends. Myself and one of my friends were experienced riders while the other toe were just learning. Saint-Sauveur offers hills for beginners to advanced riders. Other than Mont Tremblant, this has been my favourite place to snowboard.

I love Saint Sauveur. The people are amazing. Hospitable and pleasant. If you are a foodie, you want to be here! This is the place to ski/board without all the overwhelming amount of people. It's where the locals ski. All the wonderful shops are pleasant to shop at and the restaurants are top notch! If you don't get a fresh choocolate croissant....YOU ARE MISSING OUT! VISIT Vie de ChaletMy fav place to shop at too!Maribou is a cool club to go dance at and CAROLE a GO GO

Loved the skiing. Lots of runs, quick lifts, not long lines. Evening was booming with music and a good atmosphere. Would love something at the top, like a little bonfire or a warm drink.

Excellent place to flex you legs anytime during the season. Friendly atmosphere, not overcrowded. The resort caters to intermediate skiers - although they have many Diamond trails, those are are pretty much within an intermediate category. It is also close to the town, which is a jewel on its own. So, you get a good day of skiing and then enjoy the town at night!

We went skiing there with my family. We had a friend who is a beginner and it was a disappointment for him. There are only three green runs in the whole resort and they are in three different parts of the hill and therefore not connected to one another. He wasn't able to go to the one at Mont Avilla because you had to go through a black diamond run to reach it, which a beginner just can't do. So he ended up doing the same two runs all day long, an hour or two at one and then transferring to the other for an hour or two (because going from one to the other requires pushing on your poles for 5 minutes at the bottom of the hill to go from one chairlift to the other). What a drag!!!If you are an expert skier, the resort is not that great either because the runs are so short (only 700 ft of vertical drop) and not that steep either. It is basically the same run copied and pasted over the hill.I guess St Sauveur only works for intermediate skiers. But even then, it is expensive for what it is and a bit of a tourist trap. The lift tickets are expensive, the rentals are expensive, the cafeteria is expensive. We had gone to Bromont earlier in the week and it was so much better. Not sure we'll be back at St Sauveur because I don't see in which situation we would ever pick it over Bromont.

My family and I had a fantastic time skiing and snowboarding down the slopes of Mont Saint-Sauveur! We came during peak season, and never had to wait in line for ski lifts or ticket purchases. The tickets were very efficient, in the form of cards that you place in your pocket, which open gates that let you get on the lifts. The chalet was gorgeous, with a large fireplace outside, where you can sit and warm up as well. Rentals are available, and the staff are polite and helpful (speaking both English and French!). Although conditions were not ideal at the time that we went (rather warm and slushy), we were able to enjoy our time there. Slopes range in difficulty, providing opportunity for all. Ski / snowboard lessons (private and group) are also available! There were many lifts leading up to the slopes, and as a result, there was never heavy traffic at any of them (we never had to wait in line). The slopes were not crowded, presumably because many skiiers / snowboarders choose Mont Tremblant over this less-famous resort. My experience at Mont Saint-Sauveur was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend taking your family here instead of Tremblant. Because it it less crowded, you don't have to wait in line for the lift, and you can spend more time riding down the slopes!
