A lot of effort has been put into improving the infrastructure of Parc Yamaska over the past few years, and the effort shows.The park is located around a man-made reservoir. There are no powerboats allowed on the reservoir. There is a WONDERFUL bike path that goes around the reservoir. The path is 12 miles long.There are plenty of campsites, as well as safari tents and cabins to rent. The beach area features a welcome center, playground, numerous picnic tables, an amphitheater, changing rooms, toilets, and a casse croute. The swimming area has two lifeguards. My only (minor) complaint is that the sand is mediocre. It feels like sand mixed with regular dirt. There is an area a short walk from the beach that offers non-motorized boat rentals (no sailboats). In addition to the bike path there are numerous hiking trails. There are also events throughout the day, although these appear to be offered only in French.We visited on a weekend day. Judging by the stickers on the cars in the parking lot, it appeared that lots of folks from Montreal get out to Yamaska for a day trip. But there were still plenty of picnic tables available, and the beach had plenty of elbow room.The park is connected to downtown Granby by a paved bike path. It's about 6 miles into town on easy terrain.

Par un bel après-midi d'été au climat incertain où les orages du matin faisaient place à des averses et quelques éclaircies en après-midi, nous avons profité des nombreux sentiers bien aménagés pour marcher et courir plusieurs kilomètres sans trop se faire mouiller...À chaque éclaircie, les petites familles se baignaient dans le réservoir ou s'adonnaient au vélo ou jouaient dans les nombreux jeux très bien aménagés. Les installations sont propres et il est possible d'y camper avec des équipements variés. Nous y retournerons certainement et en d'autres saisons.

Très bel endroit tranquille, beau lac avec jeux pour les enfants. Possibilité de louer des embarcations pour se promener sur le lac. Si vous faites du camping, cacher toute la nourriture, sinon des rayons viendront vous visiter jusqu'à épuisement des stocks!!!!

Plage, kayak, cannot, rando calme sur le planche avec chevreuil à profusion. Personnel accceuillant. Parfait site de camping pour famille. Seul hic stationnement payant en plus du prix d'entré.
