Booked the 4:30pm cruise as it was raining and cold in the morning. Lady at the cruise center was some kind of maniac with instructions on how to put the suit and the boots on. Boat was not large but looked safe. 1 pilot and 1 guide (who is not a biologist btw), friendly staff. OK we saw ONE whale (blue rorqual) but that's it! Once we reached the spot where the whale was, we didn't do anything else than following it. When we asked if we could get around to see other animals the guy said that it wasn't planned and that it would take too long. Even if the St-Lawrence was quite that day, some people started suffering sea sickness because once you reached the spot, the zodiac is not moving and therefore it started to be a bit choppy. All in all was OK but would not recommend it. Better spend some time at one of the "Centre d'Observation" either in Cap-de-Bon-Désir or in Les Escoumins, first the whales, dolphins, etc. are closer and you get good information from local biologists. Bring your binoculars!

Nice staff who greats you with big smiles. Their equipment is excellent, and their boats in great shape.The zodiac pilot does not give explanations (we were warned of this before making a reservation, and before getting on the boat), but knows where to go to spot whales.There was no long waiting time, and we were guided from beginning to start. A great experience!

I went whale watching years ago in Cape Cod Bay, but wanted to go again and this time, rather than be on a big steel boat with a hundred other people, I wanted a smaller and 'more intense' experience. Croisieres Neptunes delivered it! The tours are done in a zodiac (small inflatable boat) with about 10 other people. The company supplies a survival suit, and while this seemed like an odd idea when the July weather was 34C (plus humidex), it makes a lot of sense when you get out on the water. You are fitted out with the suit at their office and then sent by mini-bus to the dock where you board the boats, and once out on the water you realize that although the air temperature on land is warm, out on the water (which is only about 7C) the air temperature is MUCH colder. I didn't need gloves or a toque, but I was glad to have head-to-toe warmth from the survival suit. Wear layers, including long pants and shoes-and-socks, not flip flops/sandals, and you'll be more quite comfortable.Boats aren't allowed to approach a whale closer than 250m, but we go lucky that while looking at one whale, another once appeared even closer so we sat still and it ended up quite close to the boat (note to self: whales have bad breath). We saw fin whales, beluga and one blue whale that lifted its tail for a few seconds before sliding away to the depths (the flukes seemed bigger than our boat!). It was a 'bucket list' moment. I didn't take my camera as I was worried about water/spray, but there wasn't that much spray during the trip. Investing in an inexpensive waterproof camera (I borrowed a friend's for a trip to Mexico earlier this year but forgot for this trip) would have made for some amazing photos while out on the water. This was a fantastic experience that I hope to repeat on a future visit to the area.

il faut avoir de la chance pour voir les baleines, mais 'il y en a un grand nombre dans cette zone. il faut bien choisir la periode. pou nous c'était presque la fin.pas de grosse baleine a bosse a l'horizon. nous avons quand meme eu notre lot de petit rorqual et de beluga.et par mgie un petit rorqual grand comme le bateau est resté a jouer a coté de nous pendant 1/4 d'heure. aller d'un coté de l'autre passer par dessous, de memoire du capitain du zodiac c'était la 1ere fois qu'il voyait ça.

Nous avons fait une sortie d observation grâce à eux, l acceuil y est trés bon, le materiel de bonne qualite (combinaisons bonnets et gants). Ils ont effectue la sortie alors que nous n etions que 4 a bord, la ou d autres auraient annule car pas assez rentable. Le guide etait sympa, et tout a ete mis en oeuvre pour que nous passions un bon moment!

Prise en charge satisfaisante. Le guide à bord n'est pas un biologiste, juste un gars formé sur le tas. Sur les 2 heures de sortie, avons vu 2 souffles sans voir les cétacés! Aucune recherche de la part du guide. On attend que la baleine souffle, on trace, après 5-8 souffles, la baleine plonge et on attend à nouveau qu'elle ressorte. Complètement nul! Ce n'est pas notre 1ère sortie en zodiac mais la moins professionnelle et surtout la plus commerciale.... L'objectif: remplir les caisses, dommage! Évitez ces croisières "attrape-touristes" et partez vous installer sur les rochers tout au Long du st-Laurent entre les Escoumins et Tadoussac et avec un peu de patience, vous verrez les baleines sans dépenser un cent.

Un accueil fort sympa pour entamer cette expérience. Après avoir enfilé un équipement digne d'une expédition polaire, nous sommes parti pour une randonnée aquatique à la rencontre des baleines.Super expérience de se trouver à quelques mètres de ces mammifères géants.

Très bonne organisation et prise en charge, combinaison complète, bottes, bonnet, gants, chaussettes nécessaire lors de cette sortie qui mouille pas mal !...Le confort et la sécurité à bord, bon guide qui essaie de nous satisfaire au possible.Belle sortie dans ce décor magnifique à la recherche de baleines, phoques et bélougas.Les conditions météo et le passage des cétacés font partis du facteur chance, pour notre part nous avons aperçu une baleine, un phoque et un banc de bélougas.Certains on en vu plus et d'autre moins à cause du brouillard.Cela reste né en moins une belle sortie à faire pleine de surprise et une très belle région à découvrir.

Super accueil , vu des baleines bleues , rorquals à bosse et petit et marsouins :) un guide très sympa et plein d humour qui fait partager son amour des cétacés. Un très chouette moment !
