Nothing great about it.The nature is just average. The walk is very easy and older people can do this. Ideal also for young kids. But does not offer anything exceptional to go again.

The trail has many start and stop points so you can walk for as long or short of a distance as suits you. Many great vantage points to stop and view river and mountains depending on where you walk. easy to walk dyke surfaces. Walk the trail most days rain or shine

I have been walking, running, biking and dog walking along this beautiful trail for over 20 years. I took advantage of the 15degree celcius sunshine on February 15th and took my camera to catch some good shots. I couldn't believe how many other people had the same idea. Usually I only run into a few people but there were a couple hundred out there doing the same thing. I saw families, couple on bikes, a girl on her horse and even a guy jogging without a shirt on it was so warm. This trail goes on for miles through forest and along the river. The part I walked that day was along a dyke feeder stream where the salmon spawn in the fall. In the past I have seen a cougar, several bears and coyotes in the bush off to the side of the main trail on the less travelled days not when busy with people. Great photo shots wildlife, mountains and waterways.

The trail winds its way around Port Coquitlam for 25 km. I love to ride my bike on the trail. Equivalent to the Seawall in Vancouver. Just get out and start anywhere on the trail/

The trail winds its way from forested riversides to wide open prairie and spectacular mountain views. Of course, you get to see all the wildlife associated with those areas - hummingbirds to eagles, kingfishers to osprey, at least 20 types of duck and herons galore, black bears aplenty near the blueberry fields and creeks when the salmon run - which they do thickly in late October. We've seen deer, bobcats, coyotes and beavers. On a good day's ride (and we cycle most of the trail almost every day) you can always see wildlife. And then there are lovely ladies riding their horses on the dikes (part of the trail) and lots of people walking dogs, cycling or just sitting on a bench admiring the view.

Excellent. Equivalent to the seawall. Just get out and walk and you will see what we are talking about.

It's a little bit too long for me (27k) but well worth the effort. Start at Hyde Creek and you follow the river through neighbourhoods then through Lion's Park and Colony Farm. Then along the Fraser River and it becomes a bit industrial and busy but by then I am ready to call it quits. Stop in downtown PoCo if you like for a nice donair break or take a snack and have it while sitting on a bench overlooking the Fraser River or finish off at the 5 Guys in Fremont Village. Great way to spend a half day.

Wow - my little family and I wanted to be outside on Thanksgiving Monday but not in our neighbourhood - so I looked up things to do and spotted this trail. We have a 4 year old who loves to walk and run and thought it was a great idea. We were so impressed. We spent 2.5 hours walking along this nicely maintained trail and looking at the river and leaves and saying hello to friendly walkers.

Nice view of mountains as you walk along the trail by the banks of the Coquitlam River. A great place to stop and eat along the walk is Pajos Fish and Chips located at Gates park in Port Coquitalm. You can see the Salmon when the season is right!
