The beach is amazing......white sand......not too big ....can be very busy in the summer months but so beautiful!

The water is so clear --the first time I ever went to Tribune Bay, it was black because it was full of sand dollars (I have never seen it like that since). The sand is white and goes on for nearly a mile. The views are spectacular. Great beach for swimming (relatively warm in the summer), wading (the the gentle slope of the beach means you can walk out a long way without the water getting too high), floating, building a sand castle, soaking up the sun, etc. It gets busy near the parking lot, but you don't have to walk far to get away from the crowd on a busy, hot summer day. No dogs.

I love tribune bay on a hot summers day. It is absolutely gorgeous and we enjoy soaking up the sun, looking for sand dollars and snorkelling in the clear water. Highly recommended.

Tribune Bay is beautiful! It is a huge sandy beach, with the tide going out quite far, the water is turquoise and very warm. My nephew stayed in for 4 hours. Great beach to skim board and paddle board. Only one day out of 7 was windy and there were kite surfers out. Be careful not to destroy the sand dollars everywhere!

I couldn't believe that I was in Canada! Gigantic pristine sandy beach, great swimming and, wait no charge to go? It was great. Yes, that bathrooms are only outhouses, but it's free! Clean and family friendly.

My wife and I travelled with friends for a day on Hornby Island. After some hiking we decided to check out Tribune Bay. WOW, what an unexpected surprise. The weather was hot so there were many people on the beach swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking etc. The beach area is huge with plenty of room for everyone. I noticed there was a tent where you could get a massage. With the beautiful weather and all the boats tied up off shore, the beach reminded me very much of a beach in the Caribbean. There are also great rock formations on the right end of the beach. There are plenty of bathrooms available and plenty of parking. We would loved to have spent a lot longer at Tribune Bay.

Loved the soft sandy beach. Water is much warmer than you might expect. Lots of room on the beach, and lots of boats in the harbour.

Visited Tribune Bay by boat on a sunny July weekend. Packed with all sizes of boats and visitors from the shore. Beautiful, sandy beach, very warm, clear water, spent hours swimming which is something one can't always do in this northerly climate.Needs more washrooms as the only ones are at one end of a long beach. We will return to this great park.

Best BC beach PERIOD Been to a lot of beaches across Canada. And honestly there are some stellar beaches in BC and across Vancouver Island. Nothing beats Tribune Bay Provincial Park.Little piece of Hawaii in the Northern Pacific. Tropically warm waters of the bay and silky white sand in a protected lagoon. Ideal for snorkeling, yachts, skim boarding, floating, building castles and relaxing.Longest Low tide, pack a lunch to get to the water. On the west end of the provincial park the beach becomes public and when the weather permits, it is great place for beach fires. This is a free park, or at least I did not see anywhere or anyone to pay. There are no services or camping,
