Agate Beach is all in the name....lots of those rocks everywhere you look, lol. Also a nice shot of Tow Hill from the beach area. If you want to camp out on the ocean this is a very easy place to get to and set up. Picnic tables and fire pits also. In the summer months you will have to pay for camping, but day use is free of course.Remember the saying is..... when your world ends ours begins.Enjoy your visit.

From this beach you look out to the ocean towards Japan. The eagles and ravens are so plentiful. We thought we saw a whale.

Agate Beach is well worth the drive out to Tow Hill, and you'll find agates on almost all the beaches on this stretch. Agates seem to glow on the beach and if you hold them over an LED flashlight you'll see them glow. I would love to be at this beach in a storm!

I did a two hour and four hour hike through wilderness where some of the trees were 1000 years of age.It was remote, rugged, peaceful and connecting.

Beautiful walkways, great beached and stunning views. They have created the most user friendly access we have ever seen in such a remote part of the world. Rain or shine, all you need are sneakers.

Clean, beautiful and fun . Would love to camp there on another trip . Maybe an information board to show what agates look like and what to look for would be helpful

this area is amazing, driving for several kilometres in a mossy forest on a dirt road which eventually leads to beautiful Agate beach, when the tide is in you can hear the rocks rolling back and forth with each wave hitting the shore, eagles perched in the trees along the shore line and Alaska off in the distance. When the tide is out you can walk on the soft wet sand looking for Agate's. further up the road is a gentle trail out to the blow hole and the tidal ponds full of interesting sea creatures. Rain or Shine this is a wonderful place for exploring the gems of the sea. Just south of Agate beach is a lovely little bakery nestled in the trees, blink and you miss it, which is too bad cause it has awesome cinnamon buns and pizza made in an old wood oven.

The drive through frosts dripping with moss leads to a well signed car park with visitor board and pit toilet. The designers of the trail are to be commended for putting down a non-slip surface on the boardwalk. If you are reasonable fit, go to the top for great views even in the mist. The lower walk out to the blow hole is flat and worth it too. Listen for the call of the Red-throated loon.
