Breath-taking views, fun highway to drive (use caution, mind speed limits - narrow, twisty, wildlife, large transport trucks yet absolutely suitable for your fifth wheel), and there's ALWAYS been sheep road-side to view! A physical geography buffs dream location to experience the mystic of the continental divide. If you have time and the equipment, stay a day or two in the beautiful campgrounds and explore to your hearts content.Aren't self-sufficient? There are a couple of accommodation properties to stay at, as well as an opportunity to fly-in to the well stocked lakes or into Nahanni with with Liard Air. Once in a life-time!

This is yet another beautiful location accessible from the Alaskan Highway. We just drove through here this morning on a beautiful sunny day and the lake at Summit Lake was still mostly frozen on May 30th. We had stone sheep just sitting along the road letting us get close for photos. The mountains and the wildlife in this area make it one of the most beautiful places on the Alaskan Highway

The mountains and scenery, not to mention the Stone Sheep, you often see there are just, "Mouth Dropping".
