You access Mt. Timothy Ski Area off Hwy 97 at Lac la Hache--clear signage all the way to the lodge (about 25 mins. from the highway) for vehicles with THE RIGHT WINTER TIRES. . Full range of rentals at modest prices. This little mountain delivers surprising variety for skiiers at all levels. About 27 runs, not great on vertical distance but the lack of long runs is more than made up for in the modest lift fees--you can ski all day for under $40! And you can get a beer or wine and a basic meal (burgers pizza.....you know) in the all-log lodge. A great place for a family day outing. No accommodation available on the mountain itself but there is Northwood Lodge (fully licensed) at the base of the mountain. Call Northwood FIRST (250 396 7311)--it is open only occasionally during the winter months.

We went here in November, what a gem! It was approx 30 mins drive from the highway at one point we thought we had taken a wrong turn but the scenery alone was worth the drive. When we arrived at the ski area what a view, we didn't ski but we had a lovely lunch of home made soup and poutine at the ski lodge, the staff are very friendly and we are now thinking of taking up skiing! There are lots of different runs for different levels of ability and what a perfect place to learn.

Although there are alimited number of runs, this is a great little hill for the family. Very reasonably priced and always good snow conditions . There are no lift lines to contend with, and the chair is relatively short, so you can make up for limited runs with lots of ski time. Very freindly staff. Great little hill

Uncrowded, inexpensive but good skiing. If skiing with young kids, best to have more than two people because parts of the mountain can be pretty lonely.

I love this little mountain. The snow is ideal and there's plenty of it. The staff are outstanding and the lodge is great place to chill for apres-ski.

Wir wollten eigentlich das Skigebiet erkunden, da wir bald in dieser Gegend leben werden. Zweimal begegneten uns Bären auf dieser Strecke! Um diese Jahreszeit sind sie hauptsächlich am Grasen - und wir blieben im Auto, wie es sich gehört.
