This is a great place but needs to be open more. The water deckside is awesome to sit and have a picnic. Everything was clean and easily accessible.

Fantastic time with my kids at this cute little museum. Kept the kids involved (made butter & rope, treasure hunt etc). It was very well put together, and looked professional, which was surprising considering it's location, although it was poorly advertised as a museumbecause its not already on here...Hours were 10-5 thru the summer or something along those lines. We also got excellent directions and suggestions as to what to see next in Tatamagouche. Kids loved the two headed cows and giantess stuff and I had to fight with them to leave which is always a good sign.

Looks good from the outside. I was there on a beautiful Sunday and the place was not open. The gift store on the property was open. The gift store serves up good ice cream.

There's not much too it, much seems to still be under construction and the shop hours are 10-3. The buildings themselves aren't all that large, and as such don't hold a lot - be it retail of otherwise. And with the narrow hours you either manage to drop in as you pass through town, or you don't get much of an opportunity. We were staying in the town, and given The town location you don't really want to wait around until their 10am opening or hurry back before their 3pm closing if you use the town as a jumping off point for other more significant sites in the area.

This newly rebuilt museum and heritage center is well worth visiting. It has many artifacts that depict the history of Tatamagouche and the surrounding area. It is largely staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who go out of their way to make your visit meaningful. There is also a small gift shop, and places to eat nearby.http://www.creamerysquare.ca/There is an excellent Anna Swan Museum located at the Square, with many of Anna's items on display. It’s very engaging and affable curator, Dale Swan, is Anna's great grand nephew. Nice market. Browsed the shops and stalls. Do take the time to visit the museum, it was very interesting.
