Recently visited Applewood Farms in late September with my sister and gathered two very large bags of mostly honey crisp apples. The entrance cost was $5.00 and bags each were $25.00 but you get $5.00 off per bag so essentially the entire cost in the winery was $50.00. We weighed our two heavy bags when we came home (which was 48 pounds) and calculated the cost to be about $1.04/pounds. Definitely a better purchase than those at the store as many grocers do not sell honey crisp or are quite expensive. Not to mention these are hand picked so we had not only a good time but also yummy fruit for the upcoming fall months.

I went 2 weeks ago with my boyfriend. We actually stumbled upon it after mini golf. It was a great price. We each paid $5 for a basket of strawberries. They take you on a tractor back to the field and you pick as many as you can fit in the basket! It was a fun time and definitely a family affair. I recommend it for all ages!

My family and I went to Applewood Farm & Winery on July 5, 2013. It was raining, but we had a great time and the strawberries were delicious. The farm wasn't as busy since we went on a rainy Friday morning, but on other days a tractor would bring us to the area where we would pick our strawberries. After picking the strawberries, we went to see some of the animals they had hanging around and then we headed to the winery. We sampled a few of their fruit wines. It was definitely different from the grape wines that we're used to. We enjoyed them so much that we even brought some home.
