Stopped by with the family and was greeted by a friendly and generous owner who is very welcoming.The knowledge and personality of the owner and the quality of the products are certainly worth the drive just outside of Campbellford.He gladly shared samples of the syrups and maple candies and even was kind enough to help our four year clean up some maple syrup she had dripped on her clothing while sampling.I will come back again for sure when we we need more maple syrup.

We had to stop here when we saw the sign! It's a great little shop to buy Maple products...My daughter and her friend got to sample some syrup, they were in heaven!!

We discovered Curles Maple Syrup near our cottage 15 years ago and have been going back every year at least 3 times. We make it an outing and take our guests - who ever is visiting at the time. The best time is around late March when they are tapping and boiling the syrup. Marc and Diane are always there to welcome us and treat us to warm syrup, maple sugar treats and all kinds of facts about tapping. They have a very sophisticated set up now but the Sugar Shack and their home are authentic - original and full of charm.The visit is truly one of my favourite things to do up there.But don't wait for spring, its open all year around with the same warm welcome. The syrup is fantastic and there are lots of "sweet" gift ideas too. We love their syrup so much we even hauled it way up to Base Camp of Mt. Everest last May to help them celebrate their 150th Anniversary of tapping. It was a real treat for ourselves and our fellow weary trekkers!

When you drive up, there is a moment of discomfort because no one is there at the store to greet you. But, wait a few minutes and the guy comes out. He shows you the equipment he uses to produce the maple syrup. We bought a bottle, but I thought it was on the expensive side.
