This is a store that basically sells nuts and chocolate. It is an excellent place to get Christmas items for anyone on a gift list (unless they have a nut allergy). They have prepared baskets available or you can just wander around and select from a wide variety of nuts and chocolate items. There are some unique items in the store - butter cream chocolates that are wonderful and the very unique potato chip peanuts in several flavours (you can't eat just one!). They offer Ontario grown peanuts which have a slightly different flavour than most peanuts grown elsewhere - they are delicious. We make a trip to Picards every Christmastime as friends and family look forward to the treats you can get here.

a real treat to go there, grind your own peanut butter from Ontario grown "red skin" peanuts - heavenly. no additives and it just tastes divine....

Picked up my annual sampling of sweets from Picards and the store was well stocked with ample supply of delicious savoury and salty products. My concern stems from the lack of service/ attentiveness at the counter. The cashier and her accomplice (May even be the manager...)chit chatted to each other while totalling the purchases of the customer ahead of me and continued during my purchases. Only stopped long enough to ask for $23.00 and went back at it. There were no niceties, 'Did you find everything you were looking for?' No 'thank you'or 'Goodbye'. NOTHING.

What an amazing selection of some unique flavours and techniques of flavouring peanuts! We love the St. Jacob's area and didn't drop in here until after quite a few visits but now, every time. It's almost a destination in itself for us. mmmmmmmm.... peanuts :)

It was our last stop for a Short Trips Meet Up bus tour. It was my first visit and I was impressed with the wide variety of different nuts, snacks, chocolates. I bought several items as gifts for family as well as treats for my husband and I to enjoy at home. The prices were very reasonable not expensive. I definitely want to go back for more sometime soon! A must see while visiting St. Jacobs.

they have an amazing array of different peanuts..I just went crazy with all the varieties..delicious snacks..will be back..
