We can only imagine what Sandbanks is like in high summer. But it's magical in midwinter, when you're the only ones on the beach, trudging across deep snow along snowmobile tracks, with frozen ice plumed into amazing shapes and the deep open water shimmering in the distance

We camped in August and there were no mosquitos. All the beaches are beautiful, as are the trails. The sand is soft, you can frolic in the waves. There was enough to explore that we had no need to leave the park. It was so awesome I'm having a mental block in terms of forcing myself to try another park. Sandbanks was wonderful.

We camped in the campground for Thanksgiving weekend. It was very quiet - there were not many campers there. Although a little chilly, we enjoyed a turkey dinner with all the trimmings outside!!!! We were able to go for a long walk and take in all the beautiful colours of fall.

This is a wonderful park with soft sand and a shallow beach. It was like a Caribbean resort. We also brought our bikes and rode around the park which was also lovely.

Apart from the rain which no fault of the park, this place is beautiful. Had no idea this kind of beach existed in ontario. I see a lot of complaint about cleanliness... first you are camping, not in a hotel. second, I have never seen such clean washrooms at a campground and the private showers are free and hot.

I love to leave the city on the weekend and head here for the whole day on a Saturday. The drive from the city is nice, long but nice but worth it. We usually hit up the dog portion of the beach as we have a little rat LOL The beach is always nice, clean, and most people are respectful with their dogs. Picnics on the beach at Sandbanks are the best. Parking is always available and close to the beach, not too far of a walk. Change rooms are so so. The washrooms are not the best. But the sand is beach sand and they don't have that in the city.

Great for camping or day trips. As a local resident I have seen it change over the years. Great swimming and camping for couples or families. If camping book months ahead to secure a spot for the upcoming season, fills up fast!

Sandbanks is one of the best provincial parks in Canada. The views are breathtaking and the water is amazing.

This is a great place for swimming miles of white sandy beaches. Close to Picton Bloomfield which are two great shopping places in the summer time. There are trails and marshes and wet lands for those enjoy nature In the fall the leaves are a site all on their own. It is a great place for windsailing.
