We found PInehurst during a day trip to a beach and have been going since. It's a conservation area so some of the comforts you would expect from a campground might not be there. Not all sights are serviced, area 2 is a tenting site only and there is not sewer hook-ups at the sights. Best spot for trailers and rv's is area 3. These are servced and good size lots. Only once we had to back all the way in because the hydro hook-up was too far. Every sight has a fire pit and wood can be purchased at the front gate. There is access to a small variety store that also sells firewood from the road to the sites. The beach area is a good hike from the camp sites and has washrooms and a concession stand. A serviced comfort station with running water and pay showers is centrally located. Also if you have forgotten anything, Paris is a close 10 minutes away and has a grocery store with a Timmie's across the street.

reserved shelter and large BBQ by the small lake & beach for family birthday - also visited just for an afternoon with grandkids. Great for young families. Hiking trails, canoes/paddleboats, concession stand, camp sites...

Simply put this park is a great place to take your family for a night camping or a weekend getaway. Ive been coming here since I was a kid with my last visit being in May 2014. I enjoy the fact that it is only 30 mins away from Brantford where I used to live and easy access to get to with Paris being close by. I will visit again next year!

We were there fri aug 8 to sun aug 12, drove from burlington it was an easy drive. we were in campsite 321. Good site, close to vault toilet (outhouse style) i dont use those so the walk to bathrooms was about 8 min, not bad. Coin operated showers 50-75 cents gets you a decent shower. Washrooms were clean, fire wood is $8 per bundle it was a bit damp so bring your own kindling. Water and electricty on site, all in all a good camping experience

Be forwarned that you are right next to hwy 24...bit noisy for our liking and the washrooms needed a good powerwash but it is enjoyable still and staff are very friendly...ants were all over our tent :( Go to Paris and sit at one of the cafes/patios on the Grand River and try the fritters @the Brown Dog

Poor access for the handicappedrules not imposed about several tents and trailers and vehicles on one campsite. It was like tent city by Fri night.

I recently took my family camping and stayed in the "200"s area. My first thought of the park was how friendly the gate staff were, followed by a friendly encounter with the security guards who kept the park quiet all weekend long! The camping was quiet and the sites are well maintained! The lake and day use area is definetely the main attraction throughout the day and is also very clean! For a local spot this place sure stands out as one of the best in Ontario, much better then it's sister campgrounds brant park.

Excuse the pun, but I'm not a happy camper. The brochure states "No excessive noise" at any time, and quiet hours are from 11pm to 7am.A neighboring group yelling, having an obnoxiously drunk time until someone else SCREAMED at them at 2am on Friday made a mockery of those rules. Security came by, and the group got quiet for a minute or two, then right back at it. Drinking games, were par for the course.Saturday AM, as we were driving out, we mentioned it to the gate staff. They knew the group right away, and said it would be on the security radar for that night. They started drinking at 1pm, with the group chanting "Shots, Shots, Shots". For a minute, I thought I was back in College in a Dorm. Called the gatehouse, they said they would send someone over to speak with them. They did, and I expect the staff told them that they cannot kick them out until 11pm, but to be respectful of the other group. I swear, no sooner than the staff turned the corner, they started chanting "11 O'Clock" at the top of their lungs. I called the gatehouse again, mentioned that it happened as soon as they left and asked if she could hear them - which the staff did admit to hearing it through the phone. They must have either not been able to keep a fire going, ran out of booze, or passed out around the 9pm mark, as they were suspiciously quiet. It was then that we saw them playing hide-and-seek around different sites. Seeing as one group was hiding around one side of my site, and the other group on the other, they were definitely disturbing us. I asked them if they minded, they proceeded to "shush" me, because I was giving their hiding spots away. This was my 2nd, and last time at Pinehurst. It's a shame they let this group rule the roost so to speak, as it's close to KW, it's clean, and the beach is great. We will not be back. I guess we'll stick to Provincial Parks from now on where they will enforce the rules they have set out.

Pinehurst is a great place for everyone!!! There are lots of activities to do there on weekends in the summer time the have movies in the park for the kids at night time for campers..... Fishing, paddle boats, playgrounds, beach volleyball, a snack bar and a nice family setting beach..Camping is great there too..... All of the camp sites are private, clean and have flat ground for easy set up. Easily accessible water at multiple locations and the washrooms are clean and always open!!! Pinehurst is our after school "quick jaunt" go to. The beach and change rooms are clean. The kids can swim, fish and bike ride. Large open field area near the beach good for all types of ball sports. Paddleboat and canoe rentals are available. Walking trails are well marked. Great place for the kids to let off some steam and enjoy a beach setting as well as a picnic.
