You can almost travel back in another time.Horse wagon rides,animals,watch them making dye from weeds,fruit,etc., on a open fire pit.Tin Smith working away on lamps.Black smith hammering away on horse shoes.Great place,take your lunch under a cosy tree and watch the old mill at work,orjust eat there,old fashion candy etc.,

I remember going here when I was in public school and high school and loved it. Great way to see a piece of our history. All of the old buildings and houses are set up just as they would have been 100+ years ago. Great for all ages. Staff are using the spinning wheels making yarn etc. Excellent place to have a wedding as they do wedding packages. Excellent prices for even basic photography. Must see!

We've been taking our boys to Lang Pioneer village for their Hallow'een event for the last five or six years. The village itself is worth seeing, but if you really like Hallow'een the setting is excellent.There are about thirteen structures in the village, which is situated beside the Indian River, just north of Keene. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under. A family pass is $30 and covers two adults and up to four kids. The entrance building has indoor washrooms, a gift shop and a room for face painting. It changes from year to year, but most of the buildings are open during the event. Each building has it's own theme, with characters dressed for the time and occasion. Each building offers kids something, such as treats, games, crafts or stories.The grounds give a real "Sleepy Hollow" feel.The hotel has sitting rooms and you can purchase hot chocolate for $1 and "pumpkin" cookies for $2. If you dare you can get a free "witches" potion at the witches cabin. There is a tractor that provides free wagon rides around the village.

Went there for their Halo again this year , they mixed things up and added new things. Great night had by families, Daughter wants to go back next Year !! They also offer X-mas special event in early December, going to try and go ..

We went on Labour Day just before the Pioneer Village was gearing down for the year, so not every location had a docent. Plus it was pouring rain. That being said, we (two seniors) had a great time. The docents were well informed and still eager after what must have been a long summer. The woman in the weaving room was brilliant and if that were the only place we visited, it would have been worth the trip.
