Gorgeous park, with mature trees, vast leafy green space with bike paths, picnic venues, river walk, ducks to feed, splash pads, public tennis courts, public pool. Cycle for miles out to Byron along safe bike paths. Snow shoe in the winter and cross country ski. This is a rare beauty to live beside. Country in the city. Stone's throw from the university.

Gibbons has it all. Beautiful shaded areas for picnics, the riverfront to walk along and feed the ducks, a sidewalk trail for biking, walking or hiking, and a wonderful children's' playground with a splash pad. It is a great place for a family. There's also a community pool although it was closed when we were last there (in the middle of summer, so that was strange).

Gibbons Park is a large open park where there are facilities for children and pets. Located by the Thames River it also is scenic and very pleasant area to walk through between the University and downtown.

A favourite with my dog - this is one pls the nicest parks in North London - the river. Thames runs alongside it - the wildlife is pretty amazing for a park so close to human habitation

This is a wonderful park! My boyfriend and I had pictures taken in the fall and it was beautiful. People do however mistake this for an off leash park and there are always large dogs running around with no owner in sight. You CANNOT drive your vehicle up to any picnic spots (I was warned by the parking enforcement). The spray pay is awesome AND free! The pool is a bit deep for little ones but still fun and it is usually one of the less busy pools in the city. Do not get too close to the geese, they will bit and they do not like being chased!

Lovely spot for a picnic lunch and a swim in the pool. The big old trees give ample shade. Bring lawn chairs and a blanket for true relaxation.

A beautiful large park along the Thames River. Mostly used by the close by neighbourhood. Mature trees make for a great place to picnic or go for a walk. The outdoor pool is always crowded during the summer in good weather. It is the place kids from the area have learned to swim for generations.

I've been here on Canada since only 2 weeks. When my friend took me to the park I couldn't believe my eyes. That was exactly what I was hoping to find somewhere near my home, and here it is ! An amazing gorgeous huge park with many activities to do and wide spreading by the river side to Thames river park where you can find the famous Ivey fountain. We walked for almost 3 hours by the river side and didn't feel tired because of the breathtaking scenery and landscape. I simply truly in Love with it
