My Husband and I visited this winery on Valentines day and we were highly disappointed. We did receive a very friendly welcome from Austin who then disappeared on a tour. Another gentleman offered us our first wine flight sample and then we were passed onto a third employee for our second sample. We mentioned that we would like buy a bottle of Riesling sample and she rushed us to the checkout desk. We thought it was very expensive after we left to find out she had charged us for 2 full flight samples when we only shared one flight between us (charged $16 when we only had 2 samples each, on top of purchasing an expensive bottle of wine). Poor customer service, will not be visiting again.

My husband and I visited Tawse on a Saturday afternoon for some tastings of their new releases. We enjoy their wines and the staff is very knowledgeable. Your tastings are also free if you buy a bottle ... although, we always seem to buy more then 1! :)

I think Tawse has a lot going for it and I wholeheartedly support its philosophy and approach to wine making. I did find that the atmosphere was not particularly warm and the samples were quite small. We didn't particularly connect with these wines and felt a bit blown off. Perhaps under different circumstances we would have had a better experience. I plan on keeping an open mind and trying again in the future... perhaps it is best to go in the summer?

So glad we visited this winery they were very informative and knowledgeable and we learned more about wine in one hour then I had in my whole life! The sheep were very cute and I love that they use them as workers in the vineyard... Will be back for sure next time in the area

This building is still under construction outside, just minor details outside. Inside is stunning and just so inviting, staff is very knowledgeable on their wine. We tries 5 different wines and found the brand they have are extremely good and very reasonable in price. We enjoyed the funky names on the different varieties of wine, keeps things simple. Would go back for a visit to see the vineyard completed, it is going to be stunning!!!

We were drawn in by the "award winning winery" advertising but it was the winery we liked least. The atmosphere was not particularly warm, the tasting samples were quite small in comparison to other vineyards and the cost is 8$ if you don't buy a few bottles. We couldn't find a wine we liked enough to buy (as we did in all the other vineyards), so we ended up feeling like we threw away 8$. I guess this place appeals to certain people, but certainly did not appeal to us. Left us wondering about those "awards".

On our travels we decided to get off the QEW and have a glass of wine at a winery. We googled "Organic Wine" and Tawse came up, so off we went. Its a beautiful vinyard and setting where the Winery sits. Its modern decor and techniques to use old-world wine making processes is impressive. They use gravity to circulate their wines from vat to cask. The whites are outsanding, reds are the best of the region. We bought a case to smuggle back into the US, lol!

We hadn't realised that Tawse has won so many prestigious awards until we arrived! We were so glad we chose this winery for our day out in Vineland. The setting is exquisite - beautifully landscaped gardens and a subtly designed building right by a vineyard, with views down the escarpment and over the lake. This is part of the 20-Mile Bench, i.e. at the 'cliff edge' of the escarpment, and the manager explained to us how this produces a specially good terroir. We tried lots of different wines - and bought some that were absolutely fabulous, including some amazing red ice wine - a really special treat. The reds were a surprise, as we've tended to think that Ontario reds are not worth bothering with - but these certainly are! All the prices were extremely reasonable. This is definitely one of the best wineries we have visited, and we would highly recommend it. We will definitely be back, and will also avail ourselves of the mail order option.

Year after year Tawse is one of the favorites. From the view in the tasting room of the production are to the perfectly manicured landscape this place is stunning. The staff is great and has some really great wines to offer. Not for the wine shopper looking to spend less than 30$ a bottle (59.99 for the meritage) but some really complex wines to be had here.

We did a tour here. Tasted lots of wines in the tasting caves. Really nice atmosphere. Our guide was great. The wines were paired with appetizers. We had a great time here.
