After the history of the distillery of course we had to taste. Their offerings appealled to most everyone's taste. Bought bottles and samplers for gifts and home.

Just stop, park, and walk in. see for yourself what they have to offer, or if your too busy, got no time then you miss out on one of the best tasting whiskeys offered. friendly staff, no rush, great attire, and you go home feeling good. life is great.

One of the stops on a beer, spirits&cider tour from Niagara Fun Tours. Our guide was informative and answered all of the groups questions with ease. Interesting to see the rooms where products are fermented, distilled and packaged. Staff were friendly and my husband was able to pick up a maple flavored liquor not carried in the LCBO. Worth a visit!

We have heard and sipped some of this whisky but did not know much more. Then we saw it just off the highway and had to stop in. There were no tours in the week during Oct. but they did let you do free tasting. The store was done up for Hoalloween. Tasted the original, Spike honey and the cream. The spike is a wonderful sipping drink and was on sale 1/2 off. I loved the whisky cream. It is good to drink most anytime you would want.

A good side stop between Niagara and Toronto for someone with an interest in Forty Creek, but a bit disappointing compared to tours I've been on in Scotland. There is a fair bit of information from the guide and store people, but there is not much to see of a working distillery. Also, if you were new to the distillery process and whiskey tasting experience you would not learn much from this stop. Perhaps that is reflective of how few distilleries we have in North America, this is the first I have seen on our continent. But there is more information on the products produced at the distillery and the store has samples of them all. Very good whiskeys (I generally drink Scotch) and I enjoyed learning a bit about what makes them different from other whiskeys.Anybody with an interest could enjoy a stop here and find something good to take home from the shop - we did. Cheers!

What a warm welcome - so informative about the area as well as their distillery and all their products - we went home with much more than we'd plan and highly recommend their Cinnamon Vodka & Whiskey cream..- bought 6 & 4 and wished we'd bought so we could have kept some for ourselves - great excuse to go back

If you can time your visit to take the tour, you can see exactly how the award winning whisky is made. Tours are offered:June through September, Tuesday through Sunday at 2:00 pmOctober through May, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. I arrived too early for the tour, but the absolutely delightful lady in the gift shop gave me so much history and information on the distillery and it's many products, I am sure it was better than the tour could have been. There are Forty Creek products that are ONLY AVAILABLE HERE so this is the place to visit for some unique gifts and souvenirs. Unsure of which particular blend or type of whisky to buy? They offer samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were quite useful since I was unfamiliar with several of their product lines, and since I was limited to one liter that I could take back to the U.S., I wanted it to be something I would truly love. The gift shop and distillery are conveniently located near the freeway, and they have free parking right at the door. They had several products that were on special for the month, and they were happy to safely wrap and package your order to insure it would arrive home safe and sound.I look forward to a return visit the next time I am in Grimsby. Stop by, you'll love it.

I have only recently started to appreciate spirits, so this tour was perfect for me. I got to learn a lot about what goes into the product, as well as the creative process for new blends.Tours take about an hour and are currently offered at 2:00pm every day except Monday. Out of season (October-May) tours are Saturday and Sunday only. I highly recommend a weekday tour. I was told that weekends can be extremely busy, but on a Tuesday I was one of only seven people on the tour.At the end of the tour there are complimentary tastings. The regular production spirits are complimentary, however for an additional charge you can sample the limited edition whiskeys, which I did. It was well worth it.In addition to whiskey, they also make Prince Igor vodka, Dragonheart cinnamon vodka, Forty Creek cream liqueur, and a few others. These are all available at the tasting bar as well. You may have read about wines in other TripAdvisor reviews. Forty Creek sold off its Kittling Ridge wine division last year, so they no longer have that here.

Visiting relatives in Grimbsy, there appeared little in local attractions. However, found this place through Trip Advisor and as it was just down the road though it worth a visit. The tour guide was kind enough to delay the start of the tour a few minutes as we were running late and he saw us pull into the car park. Nice man. Tour was interesting and fairly standard fare for a distillery, intersting nonetheless. It did feel a little more factory-like than artisan, but the oak barrels and old coppers did give the tour a bit more flavour.Tastings was fun and mostly free unless you wanted to drink the Special Reserve whiskeys for a nominal charge, highly recommended, unlike the cinammon vodka, which sounded exotic until you taste it, (if from the UK it will recall memories of dreadful drinking games involving Pink Aftershock...)Worth securing a bottle of the more expensive brands from here, rather than relying on nabbing a bottle a Duty Free at Toronto airport, as they only have the cheaper Whiskey from the range there, which was shame.

took the free tour of the forty creek distillery on Canada Day 2014 and came away with a new appreciation of the talent needed to produce first class whiskey. Our tour group was introduced to the entire process after we were given a history lesson on just how forty creek became what it is today. Recommend this outing to anyone that enjoys a good whiskey or some made in Canada history. At the end of the tour there was a tasting in the gift shop, tasting was free and the gift shop had reasonable prices
