After hearing about a friends great experience at Bodisense I decided to make the drive out of town and give it a try. I have visited many different spas in the past and would have to say this one was one of the best. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing and beautifully decorated. I had a body wrap, facial and shellac manicure, all of which were wonderful! I love the products they used and am happy with the results of my skin. I will definitely be returning again.

The spa is beautiful. I enjoyed a hot stone massage and shellac nail polish and deluxe manicure. The massage was very good however, it was quite different to many other hot stone massages I have had, but that is not bad. There was less use of the hot stones. The technician Jen was very personable and did a good job. Its a same the place is not busier, because it is lovely. The spa was empty except me the day I attended and maybe that is why the temperature in the spa was so cold. This would be a perfect spa with a warmer temperature and more clients. So come on folks, try this spa out. It was really nice. I'd definitely go back for another hot stone massage and other services.

This spa has had some negative reviews in past. I visited this spa tonight after recieving a flyer in my mail. I had my eyebrows waxed and tinted and a Shellac manicure. The spa was so nice inside, clean, relaxing and had a very high end feel to it. The esthetician is new and was so nice and very professional, her name is Jennifer. She did such a great job. I could not be happier to have found a lovely spa here in Grimsby with amazing products and reasonably priced.

I received a gift certificate from a family member and said that it is a great place. I finally used my gift certificate on the July long weekend. The Spa is currently under renovations due to a flood but that didn't bother my experience. The person working was super friendly but lacked in service in terms of offering me a drink, luke warm water for my pedicure (she didn't asked if the temperature was ok), I had french shallac on my nails and it bubbled (again she didn't ask me if I like the way it turned out). I also had a french pedicure and no base coat was used. I was there for 2 hours. I didn't receive a receipt, I paid extra for waxing and not sure what I was really paying for. Overall, I would not recommend this spa.

I went to the Bodisense Spa to use the 2nd of 4 services on the certificate, I was advised by the spa owner that she couldn't apply the certificate that I had forgotten to bring. She said she would honour it if I returned with the certificate at a later date, which wasn't a problem as I still had 2 services to use up on the card, so of course I would be back.She asked to take an imprint of a credit card for back up, which I happily provided. When she recorded the security numbers on the back of the card, I hesitated, and questioned why those numbers were needed since I would be returning, so nothing would end up being charged anyway. She became very defensive and insisted those numbers were required. I would understand this, if I hadn't planned on returning, but given I had future services to use, obviously, they would see me again. Since she was giving me such a hard time, I cancelled the service and was surprised that she again gave me a hard time when I asked for the credit card slip back - what would she need it for? When I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me, which to me is indicative of the service she must regularly provide. If you make a decision, stand behind it, and don't cower by "not providing your name"... where is the integrity in that?I've stayed at this hotel before, attended weddings, and have eaten many a Sunday brunch at Bogeys restaurant at this hotel and the experiences have been positive. However based on this "spa" experience, I do not recommend the spa services at this hotel. When you run a spa, clients are coming in for pampering and should be treated with respect. Immediate distrust (over a $40 service) is tacky and unnecessary.
