This is one of our our favourite campgrounds. We come at least twice a year. Have our favourite site every time. Beautiful sites with lots of mature trees and lots of shade and privacy. The beach is alright, depending on time of year. Would be nicer if they groomed it... but still makes for a nice park.

We stayed at Rock Point 5 times last summer and each time I fell in love with it more. Spring camping can be kind of wet but when we returned in July it was perfect. The beach was clean, welcoming and big enough that even when busy did not seem crowded. There are nice trails for walking, biking and viewing amazing sunsets over the lake. The bathrooms and showers are clean and staff is friendly. We really enjoyed camping in the fall, there are plenty of deer, birds and butterflies. Looking forward to next season!

We stopped at Rock Point on our way to St. Catharines as we'd never been before. We were unexpectedly surprised at how nice it was. Nice sandy beach, we didn't camp but the sites looked very nice. The day use area was lovely, right on the beach. Lots of tables and a playground and covered picnic area as well. Not far out of Dunnville. Interesting limestone shelf to walk on by the shore. Make sure you take your map because there are no signs directing you to the park and it is off the beaten path.

The park has so much waterfront it's a treat to take long walks. Our campsite was excellent and they have plenty of the same. We had a flat, grassy site, with a semi-gravel drive for the trailer and our car, and our site was under some pretty spectacular trees. We always had partial sun so we could relax in either sun or in shade throughout the day. The campsite was big and what we appreciated was the privacy as other campsites also were large and surrounded by shrubs, long grasses, and plants. The park store was amazing..it had EVERYTHING and especially a lot of fun stuff for kids. Staff was great. The whole park was very clean. Access to potable water and dumping was easy which was important for us as first-time campers in a trailer. Great park!

Worst experience ever. Fist we made reservations for 12 noon... called ahead and were sent to 3 different site that already had people on them. Each time we returned to the office the girl sent us to ANOTHER occupied site. The fourth time we went back to the head office I was informed by the girl that we would have to wait for two hours in the public area before a site was available. UNNACCEPTABLE. After we finally got set up on our site, the harassment by park rangers began. we were unable to play ANY music whatsoever, the rangers came by to inform us. after the music was turned off they continued to come by to tell us we were not allowed to play Frisbee or football, another time to tell us to not talk so loudly. we ended up leaving at about 7 pm because we just weren't having a good time. I suggest anybody considering Rock Point to just go around the corner to BYNG.... much better service and standards!!

This was the one Canadian campground we stayed at during our tour of New England and Upstate New York. So, I will compare it to the state parks and U.S. national park campgrounds we are familiar with. The first thing you will notice is the price is higher (nearly double) from stateside public campgrounds. The second is that the roads are rough and muddy (we were there after some significant rainfall). The beaches were not nearly as bad as other TripAdvisor's reviews. However, it is a Great Lake, so we weren't going swimming. We were a bit disappointed we had to drive a considerable distance down to a forgotten portion of the park to use the dog friendly beach. Other than our observation that folks from Ontario are up-and-noisy much later than just south of the border campers, our complaints stop there. The one bathroom/shower facility is by far one of the best we have had while camping. You won't likely have a site directly on the lake, but you may hear the waves and feel the breeze. The staff was very friendly and they were open pretty late (10:00 pm). I wouldn't make this park a destination in itself, but it is a good place to to camp for a night or two journeying to the Niagara Falls area.

We were thrilled to see we had booked a site overlooking the water. It surprised me although a fairly small park it's wonderfully beautiful. Lots of benches to sit and see a beautiful sunset. Old rocks were amazing to discover. Didn't look the cleanest place to swim. Beach is rocky and a bunch of dead birds on the shoreline. It is still a place worth visiting.

Just came back from a weekend camping at Rock Point..we had a great time! The park was clean, weather was perfect and the racoons were very brave. We had a little problem with the lights in the outhouse, but as soon as we mentioned it to the Ranger, it was fixed.Rock Point is great for our first camping trip of the year.. The water was cold but refreshing for a Saturday afternoon swim. Great this time of year before the seaweed and yuckies come in!
