We are an adventurous couple and like doing adventurous things just out of the blue. Stumbled upon this place accidently and I must say it was a wonderful experience that we had. Its a family owned business and is very well maintained. We opted for the 1 hour trail ride through a variety of terrain and it was just awesome with the fall colours in at that time. Our guide was friendly and was very familiar with the woods and trails. Highly recommended.

We took our two dogs for a hike and had a nice relaxing hike, the only issue is that most people do not leash their dogs. One other issue is dog owners who do not clean up after their dogs.

Nice walking trails at all times of the year. For an urban area, do not feel like you are in a city. Lots to do, especially in the summer.

Nice area for a hike. Could have more facilities like washrooms throughout the park. Swimming pool area seems to be crowded all the time. Cute little area to fish for kids.

Brampton is now overrun by new developments, especially to the north and the west, and yet this place is right there in the middle of it all. I believe the Heart family insisted that it would never be developed when they turned it over to the Conservation Authority, or it would be long gone by now. Good fishing, great trails and a spectacular "tree top" course that includes two great zip lines right across the lake itself. The only real problem with it is that when the park closes from the fall to the spring, it's overrun by jerks who treat it like an off-leash dog zone. They are the most arrogant and ignorant individuals you are ever likely to encounter. They honestly believe they can do what they want and that provincial by-laws do not apply to them. Of course, the place is covered in dog poo as well as potentially aggressive dogs that run up to you with abandon. Woe betide anyone who suggests they may want to behave like responsible, law abiding citizens. I have been threatened with physical violence because I suggested they might want to leash their dogs. Sign of the times, I guess: "It's all about me, all of the time..."

Hello, moonlitdove. Thank you for taking the time to review Heart Lake Conservation Area. We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed your time on our trails. We pride ourselves on bringing the beauty of nature close to home, and we’re glad that you were able to experience it first-hand!As per your comment regarding the trail signs, we actually do have six trailhead information kiosks, located throughout the park, that illustrate a map of the trail system. We also have trail guides that are handed out at the front gate, when visitors ask for them. However, we have contacted the appropriate staff and are looking into other ways to further make the trail guides more obtainable, including uploading the trail guide onto our website, so that visitors are able to download it onto their cell phones, or at home.Once again, thank you for your comments. If you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to email us anytime at visitorservices@trca.on.ca

We have been here many times. Kids have the freedom to have fun. We had fun fishing in the lake. Caught lots of fish.

Hello Pillbo. Thank you for taking the time to review our conservation area. Heart Lake Conservation Area has undergone many upgrades recently, including new pool and splash pad facilities, a Treetop Trekking aerial course, new signage, a new gate house, a new boat house, renovated washrooms, improvements to road infrastructure and the development of a formalized trail network. As such, we are just wondering if the park you are referring to is in fact another park in the area? You had mentioned a dysfunctional fountain in your post, however, there is actually no fountain in Heart Lake. Thanks again for your feedback. Visitor experience is important to us. If you have any more questions or comments, please feel free to contact us directly at visitorservices@trca.on.ca

This is a great park for families to let their children run free. You can also take your family swimming at the beach. While this park is within the city limits the minute you go thru the gates you feel like you're in the country. Love it!

A great place to walk but there is a charge for this which I think is wrong. Also can get horrendously busy in the summer so not really a peaceful BBQ with all the hordes of people. The lake is nice and you can go out on it on small boats.
