By happy accident, while visiting the village of Amherstburg during our summer vacation, we met the curator of the Park House Museum. Since my husband is an archaeologist and a historian, this chance meeting could not have been more fortuitous. Normally, because of his interests we would not tour this type of museum, having seen many, many over the years. However, as a result of meeting the curator, we received a delightful personal tour of the Park House Museum and spent a few hours comparing historical notes, so to speak, and reviewing a box of artifacts that had been donated to the museum. I was very impressed with the professional displays. It is an uncluttered, very tasteful representation of earlier times, complete with fur trader, medical and home life displays. Thank you very much to Val for coming to the rescue on this leg of our summer vacation. Your kind gestures will not soon be forgotten.
