Of all the lottle bays n beaches theres something about castara that just feels serene and perfect. High mountains around. Lush hills. Serene waters. Quaint fishing village at its foot. Deff my fav spot in all of tobago

A beautiful beach for swimming, sunbathing, watching boats, fishermen, and birds catching fish. Sun loungers available for a small fee on either side of the beach and there are restaurants right on the beach as well. Amazing sunsets!

Snorkelling right off the beach (or even stay on the beach and watch the stingrays!!); wonderful swimming, good beaches, nice bars/restaurants, no big hotels or all-inclusive fortresses. Locals are fabulously friendly and I can't think of anything else we could possibly need. Perfect

Castara bay really did have the WOW factor. A fantastic beach with great snorkelling and swimming. I really enjoyed my holiday there and hope to return again.

We didn't get to snorkel as the water was too choppy the day we went, but we did end up at this restaurant on Wednesday night (called Boatside I think), that had the most incredible African drumming going on. Its a regular Wednesday night thing from my understanding. Not usually my thing, but was too good to not enjoy completely.

The beach was beautiful and the fresh fish from local fishermen was superbly filleted! The ambience of the village was wonderful, relaxed and the weather was wonderful! There were numerous hummingbirds and bats to watch and the sea was warm and full of coral and colourful fish!

Now the third year we have had a great full day out with Brian and his second mate Brother, first stopping off for some snorkling, on to a peninsular, no mans land for a bbq, cooked by the crew, plenty of free rum punch, in the afternoon stopping off at sand bank, far from land for a wallo, this year we had a family of dolphins showing off all around our boat. All for $80 each.

We visited this location during a 1/2 day snorkeling trip. We found it quite beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed some drinks at a local bar over looking the water. Beautiful.

Beautiful beach with breathtaking views. Sweet place to sunbathe and/or take a dip. Quiet and peaceful location.
