We loved visiting Michael and his animals. Our kids, ages 12 & 7 very much enjoyed it and Michael let the kids feed the animals. The capuchin monkey was so cute and even though it's small, we spent well over 2 hours there. Michael is a wonderful host.

Genesis Nature Park, located at Goodwood, Tobago. Can be easy to miss the sign, but if you are heading from Scarborough and you get to the cricket pitch you have gone past it!Michael will basically give you a private tour of his gardens. It is not a large area but manages to pack in a wide variety of interesting animals. It is very steep to negotiate, so not suitable for all. It is quite a challenge getting your car up the drive!Ideal for children to see some animals up close. Might be possible to feed the cheeky chappy and the parrots, pet the rabbits and see how heavy Willy the tortoise is (30 years of age).Small but well worth the stop.

We visited the petting zoo with our 21 month old daughter and two weeks on, she is still talking about it. The owner, Michael gives a personal tour around the whole site where you get to feed lots of really well looked after animals including a lovely cappuchin monkey, parrots, macaws, bunnies and some very loud hogs. Stars of the show for us were the five caimen and an enormous tortoise. You also get to meet Ninja the dog. The garden has been landscaped to create a stunning jungle setting with bamboos, some amazing gingers and wooden and stone carvings to see along the way. There are also some antique reminders of a Tobago past and a beautiful space in the upper building to cool down in and grab a drink and snack from. Hand washing and toilet facilities were spotless. Michael is in the process of building a cafe and information centre where he will also display some of his fabulous wooden carvings. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and very much look forward to going back again one day.

we ventured up here on our last day on the Island and found this small little zoo/animal experience. We met Michael and he was so excited to show us his garden and the animals in his care. He made us feel like we were close friends and was very knowledgeable about the animals he rescued that are native to Tobago. He runs the entire place himself and allowed us to feed the Monkey and the Parrots. We were really moved by how much he enjoys both the animals under his care as well as the people that come to visit him. Michael is also an artist and make lovely wood carvings.I would recommend visiting this on the drive to Speyside as it is on the way and well worth the visit.

Genesis Nature Park is the closest you'll get to a zoo in Tobago. The animals are located throughout the property and the owner gives a very thorough and informative guide/walk through. It's not huge but you get up close and personal with the animals. Add it to your stops in Tobago

Today we took a ride to the Genesis Nature Park, and what a hidden gem !!! Michael was a font of local knowledge and knowledge of all the animals he cares for. My two young boys enjoyed touching many of the animals! And loved seeing the monkey take bananas out of my pockets !!The only thing I would suggest would be that water and soft drinks are on sale, as the tour takes about 40/45 mins. But I will be recommending my guests to go and visit the Petting Zoo !keep up the good work Michael!!!!

We have a hard time rating this as just average because we really enjoyed chatting with the owner about the animals and plants of Tobago. However, at 20$US a person, it isn't the best value for your money. We spent about an hour there and got some cool photos of various animals and beautiful flowers, but at the end of the day, it is just a small operation in a yard. If you're going past anyway, you may as well stop in, but don't expect a whole lot. From our experience we didn't see many wild animals, so it could be a good opportunity to see the local animals up close. If you're looking for a zoo experience, go to the Emperor Valley Zoo in Port of Spain, Trinidad instead.

We happened upon Genesis Nature Park as we were driving around the island and knew we had to stop. We were so glad we did! Michael, the owner, built the nature park right on his own property, so he lives just steps away from all the animals. He personally took us on the tour and we were able to feed and pet all the animals. In additional to all of the animal information he shared with us, he also has many plants and fruit trees and he stopped along the tour to point them out and tell us about them. He is a very humble man and it's obvious he loves what he does. His passion for plant and animal conservation on the island is evident. That makes it exciting to see that he's working to expand and build accommodations so guests can stay right on the property in the future. The tour also includes some great local artwork and sculptures.

We love visiting zoos and nature parks whenever we have a chance, so this place was a must on our visit to Tobago. We were a bit disappointed when we arrived because it looked small, but we were in for a surprise!!! The owner takes you on a tour stopping by every animal, not only to tell you some things about them, but also to let you pet them and feed them - they even do some tricks! My daughter was so excited to make contact with the animals, as it is something you cannot do in a regular zoo. It was great family time.

Genesis Nature Park is located just after the coast line after Hopes Bay. It's a nice petting zoo and all the aminals are at the Home of the owner. The landscaping is really nice and very interesting with lots of local touches of history and art. The price for a tour is $30.00 TTD and it not that bad cause you get up close to the animals, some great local art work and sculpting by the owner and even a look at his international money collection. Even if you think the place is small dont worry the numerous persons that visit and even delegates from foreign that visit makes the place a privilige to see. The main scheme of things here is animal and plant preservation and the owner has won the Tobago House of Assembly Award on the Island for the great job done. So be sure and walk with your camera and enjoy!
