normally don't get to see black coral but wall overhang blocks enough light that the black coral will grow at shallower depths (70-90 ft for this dive). Once back up over the wall by the boat mooring, there were lots of little coral formations to look for little critters. Two baby morays on separate bommies were probably the best (thanks to my wife and her eagle eyes, as I would have missed them). Grand Turk diving is great for the wall and the healthy reef. There was not a lot of large animal activity during our 10 dives there. For this reason I spent a lot more time admiring the coral and topography of the reef, which are great here. Black coral also really cool, as was my first time seeing it. If you want to take pictures, make sure you have a light source with you. Our gopro pictures and videos are a bit dark.

There is not a bad dive site on Grand Turk. Atleast Oasis Divers has never taken us to one. Black Forest is a great wall dive with huge black gorgonians jutting out from the wall outcroppings. It's easy to get mesmerized and forget your depth. Keep an eye on that depth gauge and stay with your guide. We're always looking out into the big blue for something special to swim by.

The coral reefs are in great shape in Grand Turk this is one of the more outstanding examples....reds, oranges, blues greens....breath taking

This was a great site with lots of sea life, cuddly Grouper and a couple of amorous turtles and numerous other critters along the way.

I liked diving this spot because it is shallow like Library. It's probably 25 ft to the top of the wall (maybe less) and has lots of life. Good for new divers too.

Great dive! Don't miss out on this one. The wall overhangs and black coral abounds under the edge of the overhang. Not usually seen at these depths. I would definitely do this dive again.
