These small homes are a tribute to a small group of heroes/ firefighters who responded to a fire, over a century ago. They saved the city on doing so. The city rewarded them with a small home on those days. Only their descendants can live in these homes, and they can't change the paint, sell them, lease them, etc. Check the whole history about them. It's quite interesting.

A bit out of the ordinary for a visit but its worth seeing just to reinforce the free spirit of the firefighters and goodness of humanity. Although instructed not to respond, a number of firefighters belayed the order and fought the fire, saving the community. The community honored their bravery--take a minute and Google "Calle 25 de Enero" and you will uncover their history.

Lugar por donde puedes pasar solo a mirar, las casas tiene el distintivo color Rojo y Negro debido a un fuego que ocurrió hace muchos años atrás, estas casas tienen una particular historia y está prohibido que los residentes cambien su color. En las casas hay personas residiendo, por tanto no se puede entrar pero si tomar fotos.
