Our family of five has been staying in PR for one week. Today we wanted to go to a beach that was calm and beautiful---Playa Vega Beach was PERFECT. It is so incredibly beautiful and the waters were tranquil and easy to spend time in with the family. The water is crystal clear and there are no waves. Great, great beach. So glad that we went here. Right before you get to the beach there is a restaurant on the main street called Nico's Restaurant that had wonderful tacos. Great, great day. And only about a 45 minute drive from our San Juan hotel. Make the trip!

We went to see this beach because of the videos we have seen of the waves crashing over the sunbathers heads in the swim area. Unfortunately, the waves were fairly calm on this day, but worth the time to see, beautiful beach and surf.

We stopped by this beach on our road trip not realizing it was off season in October. I guess when it's off seasons that permits whoever maintains this park to abandon it; it was absolutely disgusting! Dog Poop everywhere, including the bottom of my shoes! Glass in the sand and abandoned buildings that looked like they've been ht by a hurricane.

I live in the area and I frequently visit this beach. Great for relaxing climbing the cliffs with its great scenic views. It great for kids since it has natural pools protected from the rough ocean

Just got back from the beach. Its a really nice beach with a couple of different places to swim. It was absolutely jam packed full of people but today was a national holiday in PR so that was to be expected. The beach was fairly clean and the water was pretty clear on the side open to the ocean. There are huge rock formations in the water that serve as a natural wave break. Really amazing to see.

I live not far from this beach, and it sure is both beautiful and relaxing. The beach is sadly being eaten slowly by erosion, but in a good weekday, it can make a fantastic beach day. Gotta love the refreshing clear water too, and of course the great sunsets you can enjoy.

La plage est protégée de la houle par d'énormes rochers qui vous appellent pour prendre quelques belles photos offrant une vue magnifique. Vous devez être prudent et porter des chaussures robustes, ils sont tranchants. D'énormes vagues s’écrasent occasionnellement sur eux et agissent comme un saut de vague. Allez voir sur ‘’youtube’’ vous y verrez des vidéos parfois effrayant car elles peuvent êtres très puissante et vous faire tomber. Si vous décidez d’y aller soyez conscient de la condition des vagues et essayé de calculer vos risques de blessures. L'eau est calme (exception faite au printemps) , peu profonde sur les bords et au milieu profond. 2- Le côté de la plage sur la gauche vous aurez plus d'action des vagues car elle est ouverte sur l'océan.3- Du côté droit elle est ouverte sur une crique protégée par des rochers.Il y a des kiosques de nourritures, des tables de pique-nique, des sauveteurs, des salles de bains, des douches et quelques chien errants ici et là. Et une si jolie plage sera probablement bondé de monde la fin de semaine.Vous êtes à 2 heures ou moins d’Humacao, cela dépend du trafic de Jan Juan.Triste mais toute bonne chose a une fin.

Al igual que en Mar Chiquita el espectáculo de las olas rompiendo en las murallas de piedra es impresionante, las aguas muy tranquilas en la zona de playa, parqueaderos y se puede adquirir comida .. falta un poco más de limpieza ..

Comodo para llegar, buen estacionamiento. La playa es hermosa, tiene area tranquila que es buena para llevar niños y otra un poco mas profunda. Tiene varios negocios de comidas a poca distancia.

La playa de Vega Baja es una de las más hermosas de Puerto Rico y ya pronto habrá un parador frente a ésta.
