I went once first with my wife and daughter and had BBQ because they have more than (5) little "GAZEBOS" that you can rent, also swam in the river with my daughter as it has a small area that is safe for children. The second time I went camping with 6 friends as i don't like to go camping to strange places here on the island unless its guarded and completely secure like Camping on CULEBRA island's beach called Flamenco. Daniel and Doris have the place secure for camping and also have guest rooms available if you'd like that option. We had a great time going up the river and getting inside the caves that Danny shows us as tour guide. My most important fact is that for people that dont know the island camping sites very well, this is a good option for camping on the feet of the RAINFOREST(YUNQUE) as its secure and has a very calm touch of nature. Thanks DANNY AND DORIS!

Amazing place for you and your family to go for a swim! They have a trained life guard on duty too. There is an area to fill food and they have cheap parking (5 dollars).

Danny and Doris own/run a small hiking outfitter within El Yunque. Danny and his guide assistant Raymond have expert training and knowledge of the out of the way trails hiking along the rivers and scaling up the rocky and jungle areas of the trails. The hikes include discussions and identification of local flora, trees, landscape and wildlife, as well as viewing petroglyphs. One of the highlights is to jump into the river flows and climb under a water fall, slide down water fall rocks and finally to jump about 40 feet into a water fall pool.Safety is taken very seriously and every hiker is required to wear a safety helmet, knee pads and life jacket. Guides act as spotters when traversing more steep terrain. After a day of hiking Doris prepared a wonderful lunch of local favorites and a cold refreshment as well.Best advise is to bring light hiking shoes(not boots), that are good for gripping slippery rocks. This is a trip for people who are in fairly good physical shape with decent flexibility and balance. Bring water and trail snacks, along with a light day pack.
