Visitor center was damaged, closed and all you can do now is drive up to the Tower and a little past that....park closes at 6pm, so if your at the top, make sure you allow time, cause they close a gate in the middle of the park.

First, carry WATER!!!!! Second, carry snack bars or something to eatThird, wear the right shoes (Sneakers or boots) Fourth, Take rest in between the way up If you are not in good shape don't hike to the top. If you are afraid of heights, cliffs or edges this is not for you. The staff to the trail was really nice and told me the time it would take normally. Unfortunately the highest peak trail was closed. You have to watch your step when hiking up as it gets really muddy and slippery because of the rain. The trail is nothing like the one to the tower. It is totally worth the hike if you have energy or time do this, you won't regret it. I didn't take rest but I stopped to take pictures and it took me 3 hours to do both ways. The park ranger told me to take the road instead of trail on the way back. Don't take the road on the way back after the tower. Till the tower the decline is much easier and faster than the trail itself. Enjoy Nature.

The female employees working at the parking lots and traffic are very rude and when you answer back at them they get even more hostile. They need to be trained in customer service(PRONTO). Also one of them didn't speak spanish at all, they should be bilingual. I am a local for the first time ever can you imagine how they treat the tourists! Shame on them.The place it self I will rate a 5 gorgeous, fun a great experience to share with my son and his friends, we are planning to go back, I just hope the female working next time are more amicable.

Everyting in El Yuenqe is great. the visitor center might be the best in the entire national parks service.

El Toro Peak is one of the highest peak in Puerto Rico Island. From there you can see a magnificent view and also you can do hiking!
