This place is extremely interesting and educational. Many times I found myself saying "I never knew it looked like that!" Hundred or more species of plants and trees properly labeled in a natural setting and grouped by the period that they were introduced to the island. A guide is available at the center to answer any questions and parking is easy. Lots of effort has been put into the Preserve and it definitely shows; Well Done!

We had a great time walking the trails and learning about the indigenous plants and animals to Eleuthera. The path was well marked and the signs were informative and helpful. The observation tower was a welcome place to stop and enjoy the sights and sounds. Will plan on taking the kids the next time we visit Eleuthera.

The Leon Levy Preserve is an oasis of tranquility. Just walking in, one sees the beauty and care with which the preserve is maintained. The trail system is wonderful and of course there are thousands and thousands of plants of all varieties. The staff is friendly and informative. This is a real jewel. We greatly enjoyed our visit.

If you are interested in flora and fauna, and like to go on trails through the forest, please don't miss this place. It is odd that you find such a well-done, clean, newer park near Governor's. Staff was lovely and helpful. You could spend hours here if you love looking at birds and vegetation. There are nice guides that identify things. If you go here, don't miss going to Tippy's restaurant right across the street for a very nice meal. Small entrance fee, nice gifts.

This Preserve is vey well maintained and staffed with a very knowledgeable team. There are birds, plants and spiders galore, all with detailed maps to help you get around.

I am very sorry to hear that your tour was anything but superb. That said, I appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience . We need feedback to identify areas that require attention. We are still in the process of training our guides, but we have never had a guide lose or leave tour participants behind. This is unacceptable and it should never and will never happen again. We do not provide maps for tour participants as they should be escorted by their guide at all times. Thank you also for commenting on the pacing and delivery of information along the tour. This is something that we can easily address to improve the tour experience and will definitely do so. Again, I am sorry that we did not deliver the best tour possible, but thank you for sharing your feedback.

This nature preserve is well worth seeing. It lets you know just how fragile these islands are and what we should be doing now to preserve them.If you need a break from doing every beach try a visit here, the trails are all interesting and a climb of the observation tower is awesome. The cost is under $10 and you can spend all morning or afternoon. Beth & Bob

I and my family toured the Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve in January 2015 as part of our first trip to the Bahama's. I took lots of pictures and was fascinated by the birds and plant descriptions and materials viewing medicinal plants and other plant uses. I went back a second time taking more pictures of birds and the facility. Staff there is second to none in professionalism at this facility - plant preserve - nature center. I was able to walk along with a tour led by Hermon that was excellent. I appreciated his expertise and professional ability to share with us his knowledge and apparent passion for what he was sharing. Great job!If I have the opportunity to return to Eleuthra I will certainly tour it again. I know it is a work in progress. Excellent time!

Absolutely one of the best nature reserves and arboretum we've ever been to, with an incredible guide, Ethan, whose passion for the plants made us stay twice as long as intended!
