I highly recommend Sail Chocolat with Captain Rollins. We had a lovely sail to Prickly Pear and although the snorkeling left a lot to be desired (the reef seems dead and there are few fish and way too many catamarans coming from St. Martin with hundreds of people at a time). The beach is gorgeous but the highlight of our entire trip was when hundreds of baby turtles started hatching out of the nest in the sand and making their way to the ocean. What a sight to see! Captain Rollins is professional and does a great trip. It is good if you have a large group because I think he wants to fill the boat with at least 8 people. You can have the entire boat to yourself. Plus the first mate makes a delicious rum punch.

Snorkeling was great. I think there was a local shark playing around with people, but I unfortunately didn't cross anything but a barracuda. Lovely reef. Afterwards, went over to Anguilla, an apparently uninhabited island aside from tourists. People ate.Ride back on catamaran, the cruise crew brings out the booze. I'll never forget the exciting chant of "RrrrrrrrrrrUUuuuuM Punch!" My party was tanked. Actually, the whole boat was.I appreciated they didn't offer the tasty drinks until after snorkeling.Awesome!

Yes, they take credit cards. Rent a boat for 4 or more hours and go to this island (and other places). You can rent chairs on the beach, swim, have lunch (the food is great!), order drinks, feed the little yellow birds right from your hand. Just a great little island with welcoming people!

We stopped here on our snorkeling tour. It had the best snorkeling available that we could find in Anguilla. There's a big reef around the island. We saw sea turtles, stingrays, & tons of fish. They water is the color of a pool so it's easy to see tons of sealife. Johnno's had a little bar on the island. If you didn't have money on you, he said you could pay him at his Sandy Ground location-something you definitely wouldn't see in the States!

Our family stopped at Prickly Pear Cays on a catamaran trip from Anguilla. It was lovely the day we arrived. Swam ashore, explored the island, and had lunch at one of the restaurants. We had decent bbq chicken and ribs for lunch. The lunch was included in our tour, so can't comment on the cost, but the beers and rum punches at the beach bar were cheap, and the bartender / chair rental / general character was delightful, friendly and entertaining.

Were here on a catamaran trip. All the boats arrive in the same bay, so it will soon be crowded. Better to have an own boat and find a silent spot. The sand is amazing!

Great lunch and snorkeling! Came out here with Shoal Bay Scuba and had a wonderful day. The lunch was really quite good and the portions were large. Wonderful day at Prickly Pear.

Last year did the Prickly Pear/Sandy Island tour which was great. This year decided to spend more time on Prickly Pear. Took Gotcha, arrived early enough that we beat the catamarans from St. Martin and scored the chairs under the thatched umbrellas. Walked around the island over the rocky parts, swam in the gorgeous blue waters, and had a delicious lunch of ribs, chicken and Mahi Mahi. Stayed on the island until the restaurant closed well past the departure of the catamarans. A speedy ride back to Sandy Ground in time for sunset drinks. Totally relaxing and highly recommended!

The highlight of my visit to beautiful Anguilla was my excursion to Prickley Pear with Mr. Johnno as guide, chef, and general host extraordinaire. I had previously booked to go to Prickley Pear with Shoal Bay Scuba but that trip was cancelled due to low numbers. I was not aware at the time that there were other options available to go to the island so was a tad disappointed. That cancellation turned out to be a blessing in disguise as my friends upon learning the night before I left Anguilla that my trip had been cancelled, spontaneously arranged a trip with Mr. Johnno for the next day, that would allow me to get the last ferry to St. Martin. This was the highlight of my trip. I can still taste that delicious grilled snapper lunch prepared by Mr. Johnno, and snorkelling in the waters off of Prickley Pear was fantastic. I will be back for sure.
