I had a fantastic time. This was an extremely well organized trip. We left from Phillipsburg, Saint Maarten and it took about an hour to reach Anguilla by boat. (I strongly recommend wearing a lot of sunblock on the boat ride over.) During the boat ride you pass by Orient Beach and the world's most dangerous airport. (We saw a plane take off, but just missed one landing.) We were broken into groups and while waiting our turn with the Dolphins we had a nice beach to relax on. I purchased the Dolphin Encounter instead of the Dolphin Adventure. The difference: with the encounter you are in the same group, but you only get to pet, rub the belly, get a kiss from and give a kiss to the Dolphin. That was pretty much all I wanted. The Adventure has all that with the added experience of going further into the pen area and holding the Dolphin and getting a ride on the boogie board. Our Dolphin was Penelope and she was a major sweetheart. She is very young and a bit mischievous, which added to the fun. A few points: you cannot take your own camera (including a GoPro) into the pen. They have a photographer who will take shots during your encounter. You also cannot wear anything on your wrist (such as a watch) since that may injure the Dolphin. Don't wear glasses/sun glasses since they will come off. The water was a bit rough in your pen coming in from the ocean and I helped hold people on the platform during their encounters. When you return back to the main office they serve a quick lunch (our choices were Turkey or Tuna Fish) along with punch. You can also purchase other beverages at the cafe. They don't print out the pictures. Instead you purchase a CD. The price for the CD is based on how many pictures you get. I opted to get all the pictures of me in a single CD so I could edit them myself when I returned home. (A few people were a bit put off by the price of the CD. But my attitude was this was potentially a once in lifetime experience so I made the plunge.) Overall this was a great excursion. Very well organized, educational, and relaxing. Our guides were great and the people taking care of the Dolphins clearly loved them. I highly recommend it.
