Located just to windward of the Tobago Keys Petit Tabac is a tiny island with a small sand beach. It can be reached by dinghy from the the Keys but there is little of interest on arrival. Sometimes used by local fishermen and divers as a fishing camp they will sell their catch to boats in the morerotected anchorage of the Keys themselves.

Si raggiunge con una barca dei boat-boys ed è famosa perchè qui si è girato una parte del famoso film "I Piirati dei Caraibi" in realtà l'isola non è grande, ma bellissima. Con alte palme e sabbia finissima e bianchissima. E' una lingua di terra lunga e stretta, da una parte sono rocce e scogli dall'altra parte spiaggia e pertanto si può fare una breve passeggiata da un capo all'altro. Il mare trasparentissimo e di varie gradazioni di azzurro è spettacolare e invita a tuffarcisi sia per una bella nuotata che per un giro di snorkeling essendoci un ricco reef. Io ci sono stata nel tardo pomeriggio e le ombre lunghe rendevano questo posto ancora più magico ed esotico. Se vi soffermate a guardare tra i bassi cespugli sotto le palme, potreste, come me, trovare decine e decine di paguri e relative conchiggli di mille misure e mille colori. bellissima.

isoletta deserta nelle Tobago cays, mare fantastico, palme e sabbia bianchissima, tra una barriera corallina meravigliosa, unica nota negativa...qualche rottame abbandonato
