We visited under our own steam catching the local bus from our resort which was an experience in its own right, however, it stops right outside the gardens so very convenient and only $3EC per journey. The gardens charge a small entrance fee and you are encouraged to have a guide. Well worth it - this made what would have been a mundane visit for us non gardeners very interesting indeed. He shared his knowledge with us and we saw beautiful flowers and tasted many interesting fruits and spices. Due to tropical rain our visit ran into a second hour so we did pay more, however, still very good value for money and a fraction of the cost of an organised excursion. You can get the bus back or walk down to Kingstown and catch one there after a look around.

We decided to have a guide. Definitely worth it as not much is labelled and so without a guide you would not really know what your looking at most of the time. He was full of interesting facts about the plants and trees and their uses. A beautiful site with lots to see including the native parrot.

We took a group of Grade 1 children for an educational visit. Our welcome was warm and friendly. The guide Erroll was superb. He explained the history of the gardens, and told us about different plants and trees. He pitched his talk at exactly the right level for the children. We bought our plants to take for the school garden but it was wonderful to be given extra ones. This was to celebrate the 250 year anniversary of the gardens. Thank you all staff for a wonderful day. Rose Hall Government School.

I like the service the cleanliness , i like the flowers the different types i like the atmosphere i just like the quite area where you can walk and relax you mind .

We were amazed at the variety of exotic plants found in such a small area. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the plants and their histories. A lovely wedding venue.

We came here as part of an island tour and enjoyed a most interesting explanation of the various plants and trees. Particularly liked the aviary, which is well stocked with lots of local species. Nice gift shop on the way out.

Kingstown is quite small and easy to navigate but it is a walk to the gardens. You can pass an hour or so here and shade from the sun,
