Lindbergh Landing is the type of place where you enter as a stranger and leave as a friend. The hosts, Spencer and Jackie, are incredibly welcoming and gracious. Spencer (Lindbergh to his friends) is quick with a drink, amusing story, and island history or tourist information. In addition to drinks, we only had an opportunity to enjoy what they referred to as their “bar food,” but it was easily the best on the island and the best wings I have ever had in my life. They serve their signature rum punch, the Spirit of St. Louis, with nutmeg grated fresh in front of you! We spent hours laughing with Lindbergh and his friends as we spent every night there from the time we discovered the place. (Our biggest regret was not finding it sooner!)It’s small enough to be intimate and fun. It’s authentically Nevisian (Lindbergh actually grew up on the land where he now runs his business); however, he spent more than two decades in the States and Jackie, of Nevisian decent, was born in England. So they combine island history and culture with a cosmopolitan atmosphere that is instantly relatable. The view from the property is AMAZING, and they were in the process of building a lounge with an incredible view of the sunset on the water when we were there! (Oh, and the view in the other direction is Nevis Peak- so you can’t go wrong any direction you look.) There are various entertainment and food offerings depending on the night you’re there. I’m really upset we didn’t discover this gem in time to enjoy their rainforest tours, iced bush tea and goat water (stew). It will definitely be the first place we go when we return to Nevis! They also run a B&B on the property, with private cabins that look lovely. I truly cannot say enough about this little “lime”! Trust me!
