Great place to go snorkel or join the dive school and get certified. Lovely beach with nice amenities. Dinner is very good and their barbeque and live music is right up there with Nisbet Plantation's. Tuesdays at Oualie and Thursdays at Nisbet.

We were very disapointed in this beach. My daugher was swimming around with goggles on and came up with lots of trash, plastic bags, bottles, etc...not clean at all. Additionally we purchsed about 100.00 (us) worth of food and drinks (plus tip) from the restaurant and they acted like it was very inconvient to have patrons there. We were also the only customers so it wasn't like there was a huge rush. It's sad, because it could be so nice. Feels like a dirty ghost town beach.

Calm clean blue waters and sallow sandy beach await you. If you eat at the restaurant you can use their chairs to lounge on. Beautiful view of Saint Kitts and a good spot for watching the sunset.

Good beach for boozing, by the looks of it. Ferry to St. Kitts comes in here, water sports centre. Central location.

This resort is charming with a1950s feel. Not that I was around then. We stopped in for breakfast one morning in an open sir restaurant. Good food and very friendly service, overlooking the beach.

Oualie Beach restaurant and resort has an old and tired atmosphere. Lunch at their open-air restaurant was o.k. and convenient. Service was on "island time." No need to rush back. The beach was relatively shallow and protected--good for families with young children.If the sea is calm and clear, snorkeling out to the rocky point (marked by S&N flag) at the north-end is nice. However, Nevis doesn't have extensive reef formations, so snorkeling offshore is generally unspectacular.

This is a gem of a beach location for any resort but clearly the staff and owners couldn't care less. 45 minutes before any bar person bothered to come and see if we would like a drink, snacks and food again very poor, service abysmal.

Oualie is a true friendly place...it is not for those that want snooty pampering, it is a calm, refreshing place that does know how to ptlay for happy hour and knows how to make true friends...True peace...

Staff not so happy or helpful.. Although these cottages were so quaint and sweet, we did not stay here and visited 3x or more over the 2 weeks we were there. We like that we could eat lunch, and buy drinks etc. since we were staying at a Property however nice, did not have an open restuarant or beach services available. The views here were tremendous and it really has a nice island feel.. quiet again but active. Boats and other activities were close by.

We read the good reviews on Tripadvisor and felt this resort would be a pleasant place to stay. We flew in after 7at night and when we came to reception we felt that the young lady on reception resented our intrusion on her computer time. When we got to our room we were very disappointed with the decor and the fact that very few of the amenities in the room were in working order. The phone was broken, the safe didn't work, there was no hot water, one of the beds is in danger of collapse etc. not what we were expecting from reviews and pictures.The food in the restaurant is poor, expensive and painfully slow considering how limited the menu is in the evenings. I advise folks to eat elsewhere if possible. We would definitely rent a car if we returned to the island.We love small, low key hotels and readily accept shabbiness as part of island living - it is so expensive to import new furniture, food etc. the problem here is that they are offering guests tired rooms at smart room prices (although, we fully understand, not the prices charged at The Plantation or Four Seasons.)The location is beautiful. The beach is excellent and the grounds better maintained than the rooms. The staff over all are friendly and polite as are all the people we have met on the island.Nevis is a beautiful island steeped in history. It has largely been untouched by bad development and the people here are very proud of their heritage. We feel so fortunate to have visited the island in its unspoiled state. We hope to return but not to this resort.
