I do not know much about Santeria to really report much. We went in and it was just an empty room with a doll sitting on a chair in the middle staring creepily at you.

Our guide told told us all about Santeria and it was a fascinating half hour. The statues, pictures and atmosphere here made it even more fascinating.

Israel is a Santeria priest and this is his home. He is very interesting and funny - very informative.

We strolled in almost by accident on our way to lunch at Sol Ananda. Two rooms, white, with blue painting of waves, fishes...A madonna statue with offerings in the second room.. Luckily we had our friend with us who asked questions and got quite a lot of information that she translated to French for us about rites, the meaning of colours etc... so if you can, ask questions!

Yes its worth a look but dont expect to be told or learn much just looking im afraid.

Nie jest to wielka atrakcja, raczej ciekawostka. W dużym pokoju od ulicy stoi jedynie krzesło, a na nim siedzi czarna lalka w białym stroju Iyawo. Na białych ścianach namalowano prymitywne niebieskie ryby i falistą linię. W następnym pomieszczeniu jest coś w rodzaju kapliczki z Czarną Madonną i białym Dzieciątkiem ustawionymi na postumencie z rafy ozdobionym muszlami. Są tu również proste krzesła i ławki. Jeśli ma się dobrego przewodnika wtedy dowiemy się czegoś o wierzeniach na Kubie.

Entramos y lo primero que se ve es un salón amplio prácticamente vacío con un altar, y a continuación una sala con un jardincito con algunas piezas de devoción. No apareció nadie, y entonces no pudimos preguntar más sobre el culto afro, que resultaba un tema de nuestro interés. El lugar es un poco rústico pero pintoresco. Nos hubiese gustado ser atendidos por alguien de ahí.

Passateci anche solo per togliervi la curiosità..io avevo letto di questo posto, ma ci sono poi incappata per caso anche perché a Trinidad le vie hanno due nomi e quello più nuovo spesso non è molto conosciuto da chi abita in città!

La casa del santero Israel es una hermosa casa dedicada a la práctica de las religiones afrocubanas. Está abierta al público y se pueden disfrutar de ceremonias religiosas. Muy interesante para acercarse sin temores ni riesgos a esta parte de la cultura religiosa de Cuba.

Nessa casa vimos muitas imagens de santos e até de uma boneca negra, parecia um terreiro de candomblé. O responsável pelo lugar não se mostrou muito disposto a explicar como funcionava a casa.
