The wax museum was an interesting stop. It was nice on a hot sunny day in the cool environment of the wax museum. There were statues of Jose Marti, Ernest Hemmingway, Benny More, Cespedes and other musicians, and Cuban notables We particularly liked the photo exhibits that they used in the creating of the sculptures. I thought it was well worth it. They do have the standard 1 CUC admission per person and the 5 for the Camera.

It's the only wax museum you'll find in Cuba. And I say this because usually you get to this Monument City from somewhere else and you're thinking of going to another city in a couple of days. Well, you won't find a place like this in bigger/smaller... cities. What you find in your visit surprises you: 12 sculptures made of polychrome wax made by a father and two sons who live in a rural area. The personalities represented are known internationally, nation-wide, or just locally and belong to arts mainly, although you may find some political figures as well, but they all had something to do with the traditions, customs, or history: Ernest Hemingway, Ignacio Villa (Bola de Nieve), Benny Moré, and others. There is on top of it an example of the flora and fauna endemic. The best thing is when you learn the family has not studied anywhere to work with this technique and is only talent they have!!!Hours, don't go on Mondays. Choose another day, for most of the museums are closed that day. Be willing to pay the 1.00 cuc to enter the premises and extra cucs for pictures. I tell you you won't regret it.

В данной городе не так много достопримечательностей, поэтому посетить его стоит) а в целом можно просто погулять по улочкам и лучше съездить на природу в горы)

Als je tijd hebt zeker even langsgaan. Even, want het hele wassenbeeldenmuseum bestaat uit een zaaltje met een stuk of 12 beelden. Cespedes en Marti zijn de politieke figuren, verder muzikanten, Hemingway en enkele plaatselijke celebreties. Aandoenlijk, leuk, vooral ook vanwege het trotse personeel dat verheugd is met elk buitenlands bezoek...

Los bayameses se ufanan de contar con el único museo de cera de Cuba y quizás haya otra razón de mayor peso para sentir orgullo, y es que tal vez sea el único del mundo donde las piezas son modeladas a mano y hechas en cera policromada Esta museo es el resultado de la labor de una familia guisera, los Barrios y exhibe obras que representan personalidades de la cultura y la historia cubana y bayamesa. no se lo pierdan, allí se pueden encontrar a Compay Segundo, o a Polo Montañes, pero también a personajes populares como Paco Pila y Rita la Caimana
