Collection of toys depicting Indian and other cultures. Most of the toys are broken and dusty. Must have been splendid once. Even then, it is worth a visit once, esp. with kids.Closed on Mondays. Entry fee Rs 10 per person. Time you can spend: 5-10 min.

I would say that one must visit this place. Its quite different. Different varieties of dolls are on display representing different parts of the world. The place is very quite and usually very few people visit this. But you wont regret visiting this place, esp if you have kids with you.

Good collection of dolls. kids will enjoy this. but staff is very eager to switch off the lights and museum with very short notice before its closing time. Doesn't matter if you have just entered so please make sure you reach early as closing time is 5 PM. In my case they started switching off the lights before 10 - 15 mins minutes of expected time :) Rest classic collection..

International Dolls Museum in Chandigarh, India is one of the best museums of our country. It houses splendid dolls and puppets gathered from all over the world. It was started in the year 1985 and its main objective was to give some sort of amusement to the children. Dolls picked from all over the world is arranged in various galleries allures the child folks and the elders alike. Around 250 Fabulous dolls from countries like Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Korea, and Russia adorns this great venture. Another entertaining activity in the museum is the toy train, which provides a startling ride adds the charm of the museum. The Indian section of the dolls is the center of attraction of the museum. They are dressed with the attires worn by people of different states. An added attraction for children is the toy train. It is a must visit place of the city.Fees: 10 INR (adult entry), 5 INR (camera)Address : Udyog Path, 23B, Sector 23, Chandigarh City, ChandigarhThis is a little known place in Sector 23B and it may not be easy to find so I have uploaded a photo of the map for Sector 23 (it's beside the Bal Bhavan, and near the corner facing Sector 23A and Sector 16C). Even for a middle-aged guy like me, I quite enjoyed looking at the various dolls and reading the information boards.Positives....(1) It has an impressive collection of dolls including those from various tribes of India, the brides of India, as well as dolls from at least 20-30 other countries. It also has dolls showcasing scenes from popular fairy tales (e.g. Cinderella, Snow White), the story of Buddha, and scenes from Ramayana.(2) The information provided on the boards are useful, interesting, and can be read easily (quite large fonts).(3) The lighting is generally good so can take quite nice photos.- point:(1) It's a small place and not so well known amongst the locals so you might have some problem locating it (hence I provided the above info).

This place is basically for kids. Nothing impressive, just a bunch of dolls dressed in various Indian and International costumes. Its located in Sector 23 B. Not worth visiting, can skip it if needed. It will take around Rs.40-50 if you take a cycle Rickshaw from Rose Garden.
