If you are in Dalhousie, don't miss this place! Dainkund is the highest peak in Dalhousie and there is a bit of trekking from where vehicles drop you to the top. At the top there is a temple of a Goddess and it takes about 15-30 min to reach there, depending upon your energy level; the views are to die for - you are compensated much more than the efforts. I did it with my parents, both above 60, so, you can understand it isn't that tough

Though we were little unfortunate that we visited this destination with fog but overall experience was good. We loved visiting and tracking. There is one temple at the top. Its awesome and scenic throughout tracking area. Half of the tracking is through rough roads and rest through unstructured stairs. Maggie stall at the top is worth to experience..Should be counted in top 5 places to visit at dalhousie..

Best part of it was trekking in snow clad mountains to the top where there was an ancient temple. We did not have proper boots hence struggled a bit in the snow

Nice climb and great experience. Wonderful to be there and great view and flowers. 1.5-2 KMs of climb and full of flowers (white flowers) makes it a lovely trekking and a Kali temple at the end.

This hill region is a repository of ancient Hindu culture, art, temples, and handicrafts preserved under the longest-running single dynasty since the mid-6th century. Diankund is the highest mountain peak in Dalhousie and offers a panaromic view of Dalhousie, the Pir Panjal ranges, snow-capped peaks. It was so nice full of snow and the best view offered of the Dalhouise. Must Visit!!

It was one of the most exciting trek i have done. The dense fog and later a heavy shower, added to the thrill. It made the trekking fun filled. Scenic view, as you climb close to the templePS: do carry a water bottle and dont litter around the plastic trash

This is the highest peak in Dalhousie. You get a really scenic view of khajjiar meadows from this place. On a very clear day you can see Pir Panjal range. The trek around this place is very scenic. If you visit around June, this place is covered with wild white flowers. However, some people may face difficulty during climbing up and trekking around this place
