This was an unplanned stop for us but their sign caught my attention. It is a moderately difficult hike but the waterfalls themselves more than make up for it. They were 4 in total and got more beautiful as you progressed on the hike. Plenty of places to stop and rest on the way. It was definitely worth stopping for

This is a great spot to see several waterfalls, off the beaten path - we just saw a sign and followed. The drive in is very steep and windy but worth it! Great views of 5 waterfalls. It's a bit of a hike coming back up the steps from the last one but well worth it. It was a rainy cool day but, as the owner noted, it's quite warm and sunny once you hike down to the falls. Really worth it to go check out!

Driving from Monteverde to Nuevo Arenal - the sign for the Waterfalls caught our attention. We didn't know it existed! We stopped to ask about it and after seeing a few pictures and video in the information area, we changed our plans to include the Waterfalls. This became one of our highlights of the trip! Incredible!! We drove down to the lower parking lot to park and unless you are up for a big hike, or go by horse, I would recommend that! There are stairs & handrails to all Waterfalls and the views are worth every step. We played in the pool of the Rainbow Waterfall that is 75mts high. After we had a cerveza & some food in the restaurant with the family that owns it. It added to our Waterfall experience. Don't miss this one!

We liked it very much, it was one of the most interesting activity we did during our trip at Costa Rica. The waterfalls are so amasing, the guide was really good and we came back by horse riding!!! We of course recommend the Viento Fresco Waterfalls at everyone traveling in Costa Rica!!!

There's not only one but five waterfalls!!! Our kids (9 and 6) were able to hike down and were able to go all the way down to the last waterfall. We swam in the cold water in the rainbow waterfall with the kids. There was really a huge rainbow at this waterfall. Simply beautiful!!! We then took a sun bath on the grass with the waterfalls in the background (it made awesome pictures!!!).

Crazy steep windy drive to starting point. If raining and probably otherwise, would not attempt with sedan. Hike down is fun and good workout walking back up. Falls are beautiful and we did it on the way from Liberia to monte verde

We droved past Tilaran through a very difficult dirt road to arrive to Viento Fresco. Adults pay $15 and students $12. We were able to see monkeys and observe the beautiful waterfalls. By far one of our greatest adventures!! Must visit!!!

My group was travelling to Liberia from Monteverde when we ran into this attraction on the side of the road. We initially stopped for food, but ended up spending time hiking down to the waterfalls. The food was alright. Not outstanding in either direction. While we were eating, the salesman introduced us to the waterfalls, including pictures of the tallest (250'). It didn't take much convincing to get us to pony up $15 per head to hike down there. The trip down began with a quick drive down to a parking lot. From here, it was all leg work. To get to the first two falls was easy -- not too much elevation and stairs were built into the path to make it easier. At several points, there were shelters with picnic tables to enjoy a lunch or get out of the rain. Hiking down to the third, and tallest, waterfall was perhaps another kilometer, with quite a bit of elevation loss. Once at this falls, the area opened up and there were some facilities, including changing rooms and picnic areas. At the base of the falls, a small dam had been built to create a small pool for splashing around in. I'm not sure how deep it is exactly, but at the base of the falls, I could not reach the bottom, allowing for someone to jump in under the falls. Overall this was a great little side trip. It was especially worthwhile since it was on our way to Liberia. The combination of price and distance from major attractions and lodging would sway me from not going out of my way to visit these falls -- especially with how easy it is to run into falls.. But if you're headed this direction, especially enjoy waterfalls, as well as great service, I would recommend this attraction.

Really pretty falls. Decent improved trails, water and restrooms on trail. Is a difficult steep walk back up after seeing the falls. Can also swim under the falls
