Quick and easy to walk thru. Hundreds of masks and loads of ceramic bowls, urns and figurines. Limited collection of church related vestments, chalices, incense burners, etc.

This museum was excellent to showcase the local culture of Guatemala... I highly recommend this museum for a few hours.

A private museum on a college campus. Presented a rich history of the Mayans. Very rare artifacts on view.

Good explanations next to the exhibits. Followed a sensible timeline. Make sure to see the textile museum right next to this one.

This museum has a wonderful variety of Maya antiquities beautifully displayed. Many people avoid Guatemala City but if you can find a day to spend there, both the historical center and the museums at the at Universidad Francisco Marroquín are well worth a stop.

The collection of artifacts is large and impressive but the display needs updating. There is little signage and virtually none in English. Would be a great volunteer project for someone bilingual.

This museum for the ones know about Mayan Culture would be incomplet, because there is a lack of provenance of many pieces which lets a flavor of doubt and question marks on some of the beatiful pieces the museum has.Other wise a amazing colection of maya art almost on all the fields, ceramics, stone, jade. For the people that like the Mayan culture will be nice to visit it and its beautiful colection.

It is well presented, nicely displayed, not really big, but probably worth a visit. It is on a much smaller scale than the Archaelogical Museum in Mexico City so in this case, a little disappointing.

A very good experience for foreign visitors. Youngsters enjoy the tour and then the opportunity to work with clay and do "works of art".
