It was their 9/11 (I suppose, but back in 1998) more than 200+ people died, and the site of the old US Embassy is now a beautiful memorial park with the adjacent Memorial for the horrific event, with touching lettes of the children of those that died, reminding us that such event touches everyone, across many generations...but more so...our most vulnerable: our children

Sad and nostalic especially when you think of all who lost thier lives. It is a very thoughtful way of Kenya to remember this horrific moment especially when so many lives were lost and it is a place of interest to those who wish to pay respect to innocent peope who died before their time. Coem with prayers and meditation and respect. RIP

went there nothing much done so far but the site is just left like that. a small fee to get in is payable. outside there are seats for one to wait for friends and plan his next visit. buy drinks and newspapers etc. don't like remembering the times as many people lost lives as they were going for their own life bizznes !!! God protect Kenya from such injurious evil minded elements living amongst us !

Quiet and safe park in Nairobi, not much to see regarding the memorial. But it's nice to stop and remember in this quiet corner of the city centre.

We took a walk at this memorial Gardens and there is no words to describe anything like this as the word are Sombere or subdued but also a reminder of all the lives that were lost through terrorism but also to remember all the time @ give peace a chance. May all the families affected in this tragedy find peace and closure to move on.

If you ever wanted to get a feel of what happened on the dreary day of August 98, this place tells all. Over and above retelling the piece of history, the message of world peace is well emphasized. Excellent for school groups.

If in Nairobi spend a few moments in this quiet corner of a bustling city. It's a nice tribute to those that lost their lives. I went in with friends and spent a half hour quietly reflecting and taking time out from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi. Didn't go into the visitors centre as there was an extra fee. Worth an hour of your time.

This simple memorial has a wonderful museum and long movie about the tragic United States embassy bombing and Kenya's response. Great detective work caught those responsible. In retrospect, the current high level of security at facilities like an embassy seems obvious but sadly it was not always so.

You will go through the museum understanding more indepth about the nature of (lack) of security in this country. It is unfortunate that this problem still exists.

Somber. There are some information placks to read, a memorial wall, sculptures, and some pictures. It is right in the middle of downtown Nairobi with all the noise and distractions around.
